Many seem to be claiming Jesus as 'personal savior'.
Bible says "there is no respect of persons with God".
Bible says wisdom from above has no partiality at all.
So where do these Jesus-ians get the partiality from?

Bible says Jesus only Saviour of Israel, of Jacob-->Israel.
Bible says Christ is Saviour of the world: Jn4:42; 1Jn4:18.
Bible says that God was in "Christ" reconciling "the world".
So a 'personal savior' concept is not biblical, and alienating;
But globe-all salvation is biblical, and unifying, not alienating.

Personal savior ppl seem to be the "Christ Jesus" sort.
Bible says eternal salvation is "through Jesus-->Christ".
CJ is the reverse of JC (is the only foundation laid: Mt 1:1).
CJ does not occur at all in any of the four gospel accounts.
CJ is only from Acts - Peter; JC is from Mt 1:1 - Rev 22:21.

Personal savior ppl focus on 2nd law of Rom 8:2.
But every way you look at another law you lose.
Saviour of the world ppl focus on grace void of law

God our Saviour will have 2 things:
- all men saved(delivered, graced)
- all men 'aware' what saved from

Our Father, deliver us from "evil": Mt 6
We are delivered from the "law": Rom 7

To wit, God was in "Christ" rec'g world
(perhaps not in Jesus alienating world)

John 3:17 world through him be saved.
E-Salvation is "through Jesus-->Christ".
Through J-->C end focuses on "Christ".
Christ is the end of the law: Rom 10:4.

Jesus is about "division" & not peace.
Christ is about "peace" & not divided.
Mark & AVOID them causing division.

Jesus: is standing right of God on high.
Christ: is seated right of a higher God.
If risen with "Christ", please be seated.
Seated denotes law vs grace "settled".
Standing denotes law vs law ongoing.

Ppl recovering from law law highs,
afterward speak of the higher pwr.

Christ is both. It doesn't matter if it's JC or CJ, it's all just preference. Christ came to save the world but we are called to accept the gift of salvation individually. Thus, he is both the Savior to the World and my personal savior.

Christ Jesus and Jesus Christ are exactly the same thing. It just depends on how the translator chose to word it.

Savior of the World is true. But Jesus is Savior of the World, not for just the whole world in general, but Savior of the whole world for all men, each one person by person. He personally took the punishment for each single person's sins individually and took upon himself all their pains and sickness and sins.

He died for each person, physically and spiritually, feeling the effects of their evil doings and the punishment they should have gotten individually, as if it were one at a time, not just a general representation. He undersands YOU and YOUR pains individually. And while he did this for each person individually, He did it for EVERY SINGLE person whe ever lived. He was "the lamb slain before the foundation of the world." His Grace extends to the WHOLE WORLD. He will renew and glorify the actual earth when He comes. And all men will be resurrected at His coming and he will defeat all death. Then the judgment where all will stand before the throne of Grace. If they have accepted their ransome and they are Christ's, to the reward. If they have rejected him and his redemption, to the punishment they could have avoided.

He is both personal savior and Savior of the World. He is savior of the World because he saved ALL men from PHYSICAL DEATH. And he is the SAVIOR OF THE WORLD because all men can be saved from HELL IF THEY ACCEPT WHAT HE DID AND REPENT. Grace does NOT void the LAW. Part of the Law was the law of the REDEEMER who can take your punishment for you if you let him take over your debt and fulfill the conditions he sets forth. The Law was GIVEN by Christ. He is the God of the Old Testament, He is YHWH, who GAVE The Law. And He is the FINISHER of the Law. There is no discrepancy. That so-called confusion and discrepancy is in your own mind.

John 3:16 God loved the world but whoever believes is saved. So salvation is the choice of an individual and is therefore personal. Christ Jesus refers to the resurrected Christ so it is not strange that it is used after the four gospels..

Jesus is the Savior of the World but He becomes your Personal Savior when you surrender to his Lordship. Thus He is both, it is apparent that you are not sure of that because you have never taken the step of making Him YOUR Personal Lord. Let me express it this way, Jesus died so that all who believe in Him might have Eternal Life. If YOU as an individual accept Him then He is your Savior. As Thomas said, My Lord and my God. He acknowledged that Jesus was his Lord (or Master) and his God. For there is no God beside Jesus.

Jesus came to save all that would accept Him. If everyone in the world would accept Him, then the "world" would be saved. But salvation is a personal choice. I accepted Jesus, so I am saved. I can't make the decision for someone else.

I believe it refers to a personal relationship, which is found woven throughout the scriptures. Each one of us will reach some point when we will have to answer or make a decision what we will do with Jesus. Some accept, others reject. It does come down to a personal level.
