My boyfriend shakes his bags and packet all the time, usually first thing in the morning on the way to the bathroom.

Yes,
But not for an particular ritualistic reason or anything, just normally to get the bag flat (especially if it is a multi-pack bag which has been squashed) and to get the crisps to the right end of the bag.

No--why would you do that? Just a superstitious or nervous habit, perhaps? A feeling that the salt has settled to the bottom of the bag and you need to get it back onto the crisps (chips as we in the U.S. call them)?

I do too, but its because many years ago Smiths used to put a little bit of blue paper with salt in their bags, and you poured it in, and shook the bag, so its force of habit with me.

No, but I open them from the bottom - all the flavours have settled there, along with the little bits I like!

i do for salt and shake ones lol i like to squash my crisps and eat them one by one when there all squashed, think i have to much time on m hands lol.

no I don't but I do have a weird thing about not being able to open them from the wrong end!
I try and force myself to do it sometimes but I just can't, oh my god I am a total freak!!
