the sign said

"If you live like you don't believe in heaven, you better be right!"

Unfortunately only believers USUALLY find them cute. If you have Jesus in your heart, then you understand what true love and joy are supposed to be, doesn't always mean we do it, but we understand better than someone who is lost, so they are not going to truly understand. But that's why we pray for the lost, and why they put the signs out. So hopefully it will get someone to be curious enough to come in and here the preaching of the gospel, so they can be saved.

Yes. I too would like to think that a trip to heaven would be glorious. And, it makes it feel less burdensome when handled in such an aloof, off-handed way.

There is a chuch near my home that has a sign with cute slogans on it. My favorite was, "Where will you spend eternity: Smoking or not smoking?"

Of course, my Unitarian Universalist church has a big banner on it that says, "Civil Marriage is a Civil Right".

I like that one.

I chuckle, because I used to think those were so clever (when I was a brainwashed xian) and used to think they would get people like me inside... now that I'm people like me I know that we only chuckle quietly to ourselves, then drive right past with no intention of going in, ever.

I think it's sad that a place that claims to hold reverence for God resorts to advertising schemes of the commercial system. If you're going to put a message outside a place of worship, it should be from God or at least be useful. Worship is not a joke.

I remember one time seeing a sign say, "Wal- mart isn't the only saving place!" I remember thinking to myself, "It's K- mart! K- mart is the saving place! Not Wal- mart!" I'm sure they meant well...

I agree.

We have a church not to far from where I am that has a sign like that and they change it every week. It is really enjoyable to drive by and read the newest saying.

I think the world is too much with the church.

It is cute, I'll admit. But I would contact the better business bureau. Imagine selling tickets to an imaginary place..
