Answer me if you will, the first step in working together on ANY of these supposed environmental issues, of GW, Alliterative fuels, conservation or climate change, the first step in my view, is to shut Al Gore up. To remove the moron from all public debates, issues, forums etc. As long as he is the “spokesman” for the green team, I will have no part of it. Zero tolerance of his hypocrisy is my requirement to start the debate. What say you?

I agree with you. Gore is very bad representative of the green movement. He has spread a lot of exaggerated information, politicized the issue and turned a lot of people against environmentalism. I think they need an actual scientist as a spokesperson, someone knowledgeable and articulate who has actively participated in studies and research and can answer questions without a political agenda. It would also be nice if this person put forth every practical effort to practice what they preach.
As for the political side of it, it is beyond me why so many environmentalists are just waiting for Gore to throw his hat in the ring when they could be supporting Edwards or Kucinich instead.

Personally, I believe all of us as individuals have an obligation to protect the environment and conserve resources. Anything less is selfish and antisocial.
However, you do have a point. This is NOT simply about individual responsibility. The IPCC and the global warming movement are looking for governmental action to the tune of tens of trillions of dollars, possibly topping a hundred trillion by 2050. They want the US to willingly give up some of its sovereignty to be controlled by a global governance. And THIS arena is fraught with political shenanigans and specious agendas.
If we, as a global community, are going to take this step together, then it should be "cleansed" of people such as Al Gore and anybody else with a proven agenda. The credibility gap is huge. The lies and exaggerations are well documented - and the fact that so many within the global warming crowd have issued him a free pass speaks volumes about this being a political rather than scientific movement.
Just one question: would ethereal ethanol be an alliterative fuel?

Hey sounds great then the second step would be to shut you up and people like you . Oh and after that we can shut up the old people then the young and how about the poor people then the middle class . Hey tell you what lets just shut everyone the hell up hows that sound to you ? Sounds like a plan to me . What are you some kind of Communist or something your going to shut everyone up . If you want no part of the green team so be it that's your choice just as its Gores choice to speak what he wants to speak without your permission.

"What say you?"
That you should remove your political issues from the belief, and understanding of the environment. You should put these global concerns ahead of you personal views.
"As long as he is the “spokesman” for the green team, I will have no part of it."
This sounds pretty childish, to be frank. I believe this is further evidence that GW deniers are just here because of their political view.

The folly of global warming should be apparent. Unfortunately many scientist are hired by the gvmt and have to support this claim or lose funding, their job, their home, their kids college fund.....
I wonder how many of these "believers" would fly on a plane that the 'consensus' of engineers said is safe, or bridges are safe because a majority of engineers thought it would support the weight.
The root of the problem is Dr. James Hansen. He's the Head of Goddard Space Institute who worked on Algores movie, and other holliwod films. He also took money ($250,000.00) from John Kerry to endorse his campaign, and just before every election he makes the bogus claim that Bush tried to "muzzle" him.
The only thing about global warming that can be accuracy predicted is Hansen will be the first to get a press release out claiming that this was the hottest year ever.

Stop listening to US politicians, scientists etc... its all bipartisan biased, a big mix of all extremes in the country of extremes.
Why don't you start reading and listening to more neutral opinions from scientists in India, Japan, etc... ? would that really hurt ?

i don't like Al Gore, but that doesn't mean I will not do what i can to help the environment. to refuse to be a responsible member of this planet because you do not like a spokesperson is a bit childish & inane.
