Suffering entered the life of Adam and Eve after they rejected and rebelled against God even though He warned them of the consequences beforehand.
God created an ordered world and suffering was not part of that order, everything God made was in a finely tuned balance and as Adam was given responsibility over all life on Earth it was also his responsibility to maintain this order.
God gave Adam and Eve free will and they used this to bad effect by trying to be like God Himself and so Adam being the head of all future generations and their representative, caused all his descendants to inherit his rebellious nature which we call sinfulness.
God however instead of starting over again with a new man and woman took pity on them instead and promised to send His Messiah Who would restore humankind to it`s rightful place again but part of this restoration plan includes personal suffering, the suffering of Christ(Messiah) and also ours too.
Suffering has to be the very best way to restore us to our former glory with God or else He would have found a better way to do it.
We may not fully understand this but surely if we trust in God then we have to submit humbly to His plan of salvation.

A friend of mine has it this way: in the new testament we are promised a new covenant with the living God through the Holy Spirit: this gives all a chance of personal salvation
However the old situation of the old God who is able to be as widely interpreted as he is in Job still pertains, and this human level of understanding means we cannot get answers.
This sounded confused so I asaid is Jesus the way out of
saying "all is suffering" and explained the concept in Buddhism as far as I could.
He disagreed because it didn't sound like a Christian argument that all is... so go figure...

The reason God permits suffering involves a very important issue that was raised in the Garden of Eden.
When God created Adam and Eve and put them into the Garden of Eden he gave them one law to follow. 'You may eat from all of the trees of the garden, but as for the tree of the knowledge of good and bad, you must not eat from it--if you eat from it, you will die'(Genesis 2:16,17) As their creator, he had the right to give them this one law, and their obedience would have demonstrated their appreciation for all that he had done for them.
However, they chose to join a rebellion when they listened to Satan the Devil who used a snake to talk to Eve. Satan told Eve that God was a liar , Satan said 'you will not die if you eat the fruit, God knows you will be like him' (Genesis 3:1-5) So Eve ate the fruit and gave some to Adam. When they ate this fruit they in effect were saying they didn't want God as their ruler, they wanted to decide for themselves what was right and wrong.
Satan challenged God's right to rule, in effect, claiming that humans could rule themselves. This challenge would take time to prove. So God stepped back and has let humans try to rule themselves. What has been the result? Humans have tried every form of government and 'Man has dominated man to his injury'. Greed leads to wars and poverty... And we also have Satan behind the scenes causing more problems (2 Corinthians 4:4; Ecclesiastes 8:9; 1 John 5:19) Satan, as the ruler of this world, is the real cause of all of the suffering we see today.
The good news is that God's original purpose for the earth never changed. He wants the earth to be a paradise, filled with peace loving people. In God's due time, God will intervene and end wickedness and suffering. For a more detailed explanation you can read the following article:

Hey, Primoa....Romans was a letter (actually a set of letters) written by the apostle Paul, not Jesus, and that particular one you quote is actually one written psuedonymiously, which is a fancy word for a forgery.
Edit: Primoa: Oh really? See the works of Bart Erhman, Biblical New Testament Scholar and Chair of the School of Divinity at UNC Chapel Hill, specifically "Lost Christianities" and "Misquoting Jesus." Another Good resource is the late Bruce Metzger, head of the Princeton Theological Seminary (untill his recent death) specifically "Literary Forgeries and Canonical Pseudepigrapha" Journal of Biblical Literature 91 (1972) and his Magnum Opus, still the standard text in the field of Textual Scholarship, " The Canon of the New Testament: Its Origin, Development, and Significance."

"God" doesn't "permit suffering" in "our world".
This world doesn't belong to anyone; it is just a lump of rock with some odd chemical constructions mixing on the surface.
"God" doesn't exist as anything more than a concept, a figment of your imagination, or an inaccurately humanised label for something which already goes by the name of "everything".
And suffering is irrelevant. Suffering only exists to encourage you to avoid self-destruction so you can get on with the task of spawning. Nature doesn't give a flying fvckery if it hurts, the alternative is getting killed, and that doesn't exactly help you reproduce yourself.

I've always felt that God's whole point in this exercize was to give us an opportunity to learn and grow by making choices... and experiencing the consequences of those choices.
What's going to damn Adolf Hitler more- words and the Jews' accusations or his own actions and choices before and during WW2?
What's going to glorify and increase Mother Theresa's favor with God more- all the stuff that was said in the news after she died or how she lived her life?

God works in a mysterious way, so that you can count on Him.
2 Corinthians
7 Because of the extravagance of those revelations, and so I wouldn’t get a big head, I was given the gift of a handicap to keep me in constant touch with my limitations. Satan’s angel did his best to get me down; what he in fact did was push me to my knees. No danger then of walking around high and mighty!
8 At first I didn’t think of it as a gift, and begged God to remove it. Three times I did that,
9 and then he told me, My grace is enough; it’s all you need. My strength comes into its own in your weakness. Once I heard that, I was glad to let it happen. I quit focusing on the handicap and began appreciating the gift. It was a case of Christ’s strength moving in on my weakness.

The word is in my heart. There is no way you can put God in a box.He is way to magnificent.God has His reasons and they our way above our comprehension.Religion wants to tie Gods hands and it dont seem to be succeeding.God always makes His point known.Just like what is happening in America today. It just takes man awhile to catch up to what God is doing,Finally we will learn

Romans 8:28 "And we know that ALL things work together for good....for those who are called by God"
You see.....whether it be good or bad, it is all under the scrutiny of our Lord. He is in control of it all....and nothing happens apart from His perfect knowledge & will.
Edit:
Wrong skalite.......you're just digging for excuses to not believe it to be true. Paul wrote that letter under the power & influence of the Holy Spirit....not by his own will.
I pray for you sir......
