Hi don't freak out!!!!! 5 days is not out of the ordinary and crazy itchy is normal too. If it looks red and swollen oozy then panic a little and see your tattooist or doc but,. flaking is very very normal. Do not pick at it. I know it is difficult!!! Very very lightly rub it. I dealt with the itch by using lucas's paw paw cream. I have had 3 tatts done and none of them itched at all when I used this stuff. It was unbelievable! As for the colours yellow and whites always come out pale sometimes paler than we would like. You can get it re done well after the tatt has healed. I am talking months.

Your tattoo is a scar, so that peeling off is really a scab and its scabbing. It's going to be itchy because there is new skin forming. There is a product you can get from most tattoo places called Tattoo Goo and it makes it less itchy and heal faster.

yes normally, I just got another one about a month and a half ago. The itchy is because it is dry. The peeling is the dead skin. I always use A&D ointment on mine till it is completly healed. Then I use lotion with sunscreen, that will keep the color.

Fresh tattoos will itch as they heal, and the skin (not the tattoo itself) will peel.
Whatever you do, DON'T scratch it and don't remove the peeling skin. Keep it moisturized (with A&D, tattoo goo or whatever your artist told you to use) and if the itching is too much, pat the area with your hand. It will help ease the itch without messing up the tat.

When did you get it?........if it is new then it is part of the healing process.......don't pick at it or "itch it" just keep it moist......you should be all done with the A&D and be good with normal lotion now.
