I"m getting ready to fly and I can't find anywhere on the websites that tell me if I can take my garment bag on as a carry one. If it is, do they have a place that I can hang it up. It has 4 bridesmaid dresses in it.

A garmet bag is considered a carry on if you "carry it on" the aircraft. I'd call the airline and ask about somewhere to hang the bag. I personally don't think they have anywhere to hang them, but have seen brides carrying on their wedding dress, so maybe there are places I don't know about to hang the bags.

Each plane has a little closet that the flight attendants use. They also allow passengers to hang their garment bags in them. Just be sure to mark your bag clearly, so that when you reach your destination, you know your bag from someone else's.

It is considered a carry-on. You'll still be able to take your purse with you so you have a place for your mp3 player and your book.

Have a safe trip.

The best thing to do in this case is contact the airlines directly. I am fairly sure they can accommodate you.
