The Bible advocates turning the other cheek and also doing unto those that which they do unto you - tit for tat.
What is right what is wrong? Is it all to do with keeping the population down? Why would people want to kill other people anyway? What do they think they can gain?
Some of them think they can gain glory in another life - but to date nobody has proof of this.
That is the Shame of all religions - that they have no proof of anything.

Ah, another 'show me' me too posting.
Some of the most heinous murders of all time have been committed by atheists -- sickos who thought they were a god incarnate -- and other twisted societal elements.
Likewise Christianity and Islam have had more than their fair share of crimes against humanity done in the name of God.
Egregious and horrible as the inquisition and crusades were and the jihads are you cannot effect mass condemnation of religion on the facts surrounding those atrocities.
It is an oversimplification of complex causes, effects, concepts, and trends which cannot be stated thusly.
Please omit me from your blanket condemnation by referring to me as a part of a fanatical religion because fanaticism is not an element of my existence and I have never been taught to -- nor would I ever hurt anyone.

Atheists don't have external justification for killing. Theists do, in their "holy" books:
http://jcnot4me.com/Items/cults/victims_of_religion.htm
Victims of Religion
"This page is dedicated to those well-meaning but ignorant Christians who ask me 'Why must you be so negative towards religion? It's never done anyone any harm!' Sad to say, it has. On top of overt physical harm, religion can also result in wasting one's life chasing fantasies- and these billions of followers will never get back the time (or effort) they wasted on their religions. There is also psychological harm inflicted on millions of believers and their families, religion having emotionally crippled them for life. For any who doubt what I say regarding the psychological harm religion has inflicted on society, they need only to visit the nearest psych ward to see for themselves that it is over-flowing with religionists, not Atheists. To all the victims of religion my heart goes out to you, and to you I dedicate this page, in the hopes that you may be SET FREE and thus spared any future pain."

Well, don't forget the atheists of the twentieth century who launched massive killings against their own people, such as Pol Pot or Mao Zedong.
Fanaticism in any form is a threat to liberty. Any ideology that restricts free speech, whether in the form of politics or religion, can be considered bad.

There's always the bidirectionality problem there: Is religion encouraging people to kill, or are people who want to destroy attracted to religion. From what I can tell it's a bit of both though. LOL! Imagine an atheist driving a plane into the whitehouse screaming "In the name of!...ummm....insanity? Wait a sec..."

Communists like Mao and Stalin were atheists. The Soviet Union was officially secular, supporting atheist ideology and suppressing religion. This is one of the reasons they were hated by Osama Bin Laden who claims responsibility for their defeat.

I find your terminology interesting.
"The killing of human life"...
But, of course, the millions of unborn children that have been killed by abortion are not "human"...I keep forgetting that...
Not that there haven't been famous atheist killers...
Here are just a FEW of the top killers in recent history...atheists every one:
Mao Ze-Dong (China, 1958-61 and 1966-69, Tibet 1949-50) 49-78,000,000
Jozef Stalin (USSR, 1934-39) 13,000,000 (the purges)
Hideki Tojo (Japan, 1941-44) 5,000,000 (civilians in WWII)
Pol Pot (Cambodia, 1975-79) 1,700,000
Kim Il Sung (North Korea, 1948-94) 1.6 million (purges and concentration camps)
Of course, these were power-crazed fanatics...but mind it, they are a part of YOU!!

Murder is a sin, unless your victim is:
“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman…they shall be put to death” (Leviticus 20:13). “One of the children of Israel came and brought unto his brethren a Midianitish woman…And when Phinehas…saw it, he rose up from among the congregation, and took a javelin in his hand…and thrust both of them through, the man of Israel, and the woman through her belly. So the plague was stayed from the children of Israel” (Numbers 25:6-8). “He slew all the house of Baasha, he left him not one that pisseth against a wall, neither of his kinsfolks, nor of his friends. Thus did Zimri destroy all the house of Baasha, according to the word of the Lord” (1 Kings 16:11-12).
