Last night i put front line on my cat and this morning he fur is wet where she has been licking at it. She is super flexible and it is no problem for her to lick between her sholders. I'm not sure what to do about it though.

Ring your vet. I don't think it's a problem though (my cat pulls her fur out if I put Frontline on her).

You put it in the wrong spot, a little too low. Give your vet a call to let him/her know what is going on and if the product will still work even though it wasn't absorbed through the skin, AND if it is ok that your cat licked it.

I do Revolution every month on my two cats, which is a similar application process, and it is important to get it in just the right spot so that they can't lick it. You can ask your vet or a tech in the office to show you the correct spot again.

Like someone said, call your vet to make sure it's not a problem.
BUT
In the future, place it between the shoulder blades and higher up the neck.

I find it hard to imagine a cat so flexible that she could turn her head 180 degrees necessary to lick the base of the neck between the shoulder blades. The placement of the frontline is set in a place to prevent the cat from licking it... it's amazing that she can turn her head 180 degrees.

I know what you mean. My cats too just licked it off. When I first put it on they just went back to sleep and didnt start licking until the next day.

I know how toxic it is and if they are swallowing it, it is largely going through their digestive tract rather than coming out in their skin.

So now I dont use it on them. Only on a few occasions do I see them biting themselves like they have fleas. They never get flea dermatitis and seem best at dealing with their flea problem themselves.

I do make sure they get good nutrition as fleas are more prevalent on cats that arent eating well. By nutrition, I mean a lot of raw food which is more in line with their carnivorous predator requirements.

If you got your frontline from the vet dont worry, by that I mean the vet wouldnt give it to you if there was a health prob that would cause complication in the Very likely event that they will lick it. My two get to theirs everytime I put it on em, I'm sure they have 360 degree head swivel!
They dont like the flavour but thats all, after all the stuff is designed to get into their blood stream through the skin.
Give yer cat a drink of water or milk so they can wash the taste down.

Dont purchase over-the-counter treatments, purchase them out of your vet. OTC could be extra reasonable, yet extra possibly going to over deal which incorporate your animal and finally end up hurting them. A vet's consultation could be sought earlier treating an animal with any DrugsChemicals.

I think you should ring your vet and see what they say front line is supposed to be put on the neck area where they cannot reach to lick, so Personally I would not take the chance, better be safe than sorry.

I agree...ring your vet. I can't imagine a cat getting to the correct spot for Frontline, however, we choose to use products other than Frontline on our kitties. It is put on the same spot, but Revolution isn't absorbed into the skin. Talented kitty!!

Apply it higher up on your cats head, virtually in between it's ears and make sure you part the fur well to avoid it trickling down the coat. I now use stronghold or advocate for my cats as there is less liquid to go on compared with frontline.
