The majority of common fruit and veg are developed by several hundred years of cultivation and cross-polination. There's no "hand of God" in there, just good clean science.
Look at the banana for example. Without cultavation it'd be small, bitter, full of stone-like seeds and tough to open. Thanks to botanical engineering we've got a long, sweet, seedless bananas that open easily.
You can tell your god that he's got few things to claim responsibility for.
