I always thought I was an atheist because I rejected the god hypothesis, but it turns out I'm actually one of the few Biophysical Polydeists in the world. A fellow philosopher figured this out and emailed this fact to me via email after reading my book. I got to say, I'm quite frankly stunned, and am still trying to get my head around it all. I mean, WHAT THE F............!?!

Biophysical Polydeism is in no way similar to paganism which is either polytheistic or much more usually these days, pantheist.

Might I say that a better way to approach it would be to say that someone else, told you that the conclusion you had come to on your own, already had a name?
"biological polydeist" seems pecular, does that mean you belive aliens acted as gods or something?
I think many alleged atheists in fact just deny a very restrictive, small, contradictory god-concept of christianity, and simply don't consider any other deity concepts at all.
which is really not signifigantly more intelligent or enlightened than the ones they are denying against.

God is also a word and a word is an abstraction that's often infinitely expandable as we learn more. At one level a person may think of God as love and truth. If we did that we would be close enough to get on with business as it seems the business we have before us, the world, is getting out of hand.

I posted a question a long time ago asking what religion I was and stated my beliefs. I never really got adequate responses.
Unchanged an Cranky: no, I'm talking about a question months ago, not the one yesterday that one yesterday was just for fun, the one months ago was in depth and detailed.

I'm a Christian but I have had people tell me that that means I'm an ignorant bigot who doesn't believe in evolution and hates gay people.
