It's one of the best foods ever. The first time I had it me and a friend toasted and buttered almost the whole loaf! It was crazy.

It's not a recipe, it's a brand of bread which is sliced very thick and it's called "Texas Toast" it's sliced about an inch thick and I finally bought a loaf after having tried it about 13 years ago for the first time. You know carbs having a bad name and all. I am preggo now so I don't really care about watching my carbs at this time so I can enjoy it once again. I will definitely make french toast maybe tommorrow for me and my daughter. Sounds really good.

In my area Wonder bread makes a Texas Toast loaf. It's just the classic white bread,but sliced extra thick. One slice equals about two slices of regular bread. It's wonderful for making french toast,garlic bread. Usually there's only about a half dozen packages on store shelves, compared to the 50 packages of regular Wonder bread if they have it at all. It probably takes a special slicing line at the bakery and is made in limited numbers. It is good. I don't live anywhere near Texas.

I love Texas toast! Especially the garlic version. Nothing like hot, thick, garlicky buttered toast.

if you want to really enjoy texas toast you can make french toast out of it.
I make a pocket by cutting into the side of the bread and i stuff it with berries and fruit then make french toast out of it and serve with powdered sugar and wipped cream

maximum in all probability KFC. KFC is probable no longer surprising for you, besides the incontrovertible fact that it is extra constructive for you than McDonalds and Burger King and Pizza Hut.
