If there is no god as you say, then why are you talking about him so much more than Santa. I have miracle in Africa for you to check out a 2 year old boy talking about Allah SWT do a search you will see, no one taught him, his parents where killed and he was raised by Christian Youth Foundation and he is now 9 years old and one of the biggest Imams in Africa.. I suggest you have alook!

Also 5000 reverts a month that come to the places we teach, and they come to us not us to them.. so you can teach them what they don't believ including these people the seed was planted when they where born any religious person knows that!

If I ever have children I will tell them that a lot of people believe in God, some don't and that different cultures and groups of people have different ideas of what God is and that when he/she is old enough that they can make their own decision about wether or not to believe.

I will tell them there is no god. The god that they listen from someone is man made. When they are weak and ignorance, they create god who strong and all knowing to make them feel secure to be side with god. There is not a problem to have esteem to someone although they are not exist if they has some good value. Some of character of some fiction that present goodness has been respect around the world. But not die or let the other die for them.

If a child is old enough to ask about deities and religion, then the child is old enough to learn that there are different religions and that people believe in many deities around the world. If my child asked, I would start teaching she or he about the differences between religions, and counsel them to decide on what they believe or do not believe after they have enough knowledge to understand each fully.

Depends on ages. When they are very young I will explain the basic concept and introduce them to the idea that there are many different religions and ideas about God. I will tell them that we should respect others beliefs and share that I don't believe myself but that they should decide for themselves. I will hopefully succeed in giving them good critical thinking skills to decide wisely for themselves and I plan to expose them to the beliefs and practices of many religions as well as the history and historical context of the religions.

I will simply answer my child with the answer that his mind can easily absorb & understand: That the things he see - human beings, trees, flowers, the sun, sky, moon & stars are created by God, yet we dont God but He sees us. If he still asks after u answer each of his questions, I suggest u buy him/her an illustrated bible story books so he can picture out what u are saying.:)

Usually children accepts what the parents say. They accept all truths blindly because of the trust in their parents. If you say there is God they will accept. Adults believe if only they see or convinced.

I will tell her that the "god" that the christians worship is actually an ancient and terrible "great old one" called Cthulhu who is gradually gathering them together with misleading propaganda in their dreams and will eventually return to consume them when he awakens from his slumber in R'lyeh.

^_^

But then I doubt I'll get to tell my daughter any of that before her mother and foster-father tell her differently. Damnit.

Been there, done that, you teach your children critical thinking skills, and they will tell you about "god".

I do hope you religious ninnies listen to them... no child is born believing in god, no not one.

My six year old told me recently that there is no god,but that Santa is real... go figure, at least the trickery from her mother pretending gifts I send them are from "Santa" is still working...

Tell the truth about God. and advise the child to be good boy so that while growing he will be going with the devil to make bad deeds.
