Why do we need to die? Why did God let us die?

We cannot change parts. The cells in our body stop dividing after we are fully grown. When a heart muscle cell dies, for example, it is not replaced by a younger one. As we get old, the cells will gradually die off. At a certain point, an organ fails, and when normal physiological functions can not be carried out, the whole body dies.

Only protozoans, like the amoeba, can live for ever.

We do not, we just change bodies.

God is much smarter than people give God credit for. Don't believe people when they tell you that life is a one-time good deal. It goes on forever and you and me and everyone else has lived on this Earth before.

Do you think God gave us just this one shot to get it together? Do you think that Mr Bush, who is in his 60's I think, has his act together? Like Mr Bush, most of us don't and we will get all the lifetimes we need to align ourselves with God's program to be the best people we can be. It is taking a very long time but we will get there sooner or later.

It was never God's intention that man should die. But God told Adam and Eve the day they ate from the tree, they would surely die. It was curse upon all mankind, not just Adam and Eve. Notice when they ate, they did die, but spiritually they died, and their bodies began to die. Therefore, they died that day. Likewise that same curse has extended throughout mankind. That is why we die. But remember, that was never the plan for mankind from God, ever! God be with you always! ROmans 10:9

I hate to go all Disney on ya....but it's The Circle Of Life. If noone ever died, do you have any idea how many people would live on this planet? Not to mention how quickly our planet's resources would deplete?
God doesn't "let" you die. God asks you to live the best life you can, with Him in your heart and soul...pledging your allegiance to Him to the very end. From what i hear... if you do this, you'll be vastly rewarded in the afterlife.

Here's an interesting take on it, tho.... It's kinda like saying, "you're either with me, or against me".

People and animals die because their bodies wear out. Besides, wouldn't it be a little crowded if they didn't? A "God" didn't let us die, it's a natural process.

When sin entered into the world after the fall of Adam and Eve so did death. God did not create man to die, Man was suppose to live forever, until they disobeyed God, and sinned. Sin brought death not God. That is why God sent his only son to die so man could be forgiven for sin and have eternal life.

People have to die because Adam and Eve sinned. Stop blameing this on GOD. Man had free will and he chose to do things his way.

Truth is no one knows why we have to die. They have found the gene that controls aging. They just don't know yet what to do with it. If someone tells you why we die they are lying. No one really knows why we have to die.

Why do we need to stay alive? We are able to live, do our part to help make the earth a better place and then leave the world giving room for new people to enjoy what we made (or destroyed)

God did not let us die. We caused our own deaths when Adam and Eve committed the original rebellion and disobedience of God's will when they ate of the fruit of the tree of knowledge of good and evil. Until this catastrophic event there was no death. Death was the penalty God imposed for disobedience.
