ok i really like this girl who is on vacation and should be getting home soon, but not for sure. we talk occasionally but im too afraid to make a move, i want to talk to her when she gets back and get better with her but i dont want to sound as desperate as i really am. i dont just want to say, how was seattle? the second she gets back but how do i keep it going strong? a really long time ago i asked her for advice for a first date and she said not the mall or movies because it would be really awkward for the both of us, the mall i would just sit around watching her tryon clothes and id be an excuse to get her things. and the movies, if i dont give her the right amount of attention, then its a wreck. i was thinking ice skating or mini golf or something like that. we dont really see eachother often durring summer break and our main ways of communicating are texting and myspace. i hate it though. but the thing is all the girls at school are best friends so if i f*** this up, im screwed!

Your ideas are good, just make sure that you spend a lot of time talking to her. When you ask her about the vacation, ask her what she saw, the differences she noticed there from where you live, the style of clothes, the way the people acted, etc...

If it is nice weather, you might also consider planning a picnic. Just prepare some different kinds of cheeses, and crackers, some chips and dips, some fruit, and some type of smores, cookies, or cake for dessert. Put all of it into a small ice chest along with some drinks and water. Bring a blanket, and plan to go somewhere shady, and near water, if possible. Don't forget the music. Then make a list of things that you would like to know about her, or talk about. You can eat, talk, and maybe even take a short walk. Being alone will give both of you the opportunity to focus on each other.

i'm not sure man, but why don't you try to communicate with her more? like, try sending her more messages in myspace or email her every now and then? what i'm saying is, try gaining her trust first and get to know her more. if she's willing, then who knows, she'll start revealing more info, like what does she like doing during her free time...better yet, when she comes home, why not try dropping by their house a couple of times, make her feel you're really glad she's back again for vacation? one thing's for sure, hurrying things up is a big risk. maybe it's better to let everything fall into its place in its own pace. however, if you can't seem to wait and you're brave enough, why not tell her directly what's in your mind as soon as she's back and see how she reacts? who knows, maybe it's just fine to tell her -- anyway, being honest doesn't hurt, right? plus, if you start doing things that you don't usually do, don't you think she would get suspicious anyway? whatever you decide on, good luck...just be yourself, be sincere, and always respect the girl -- especially respect, that's the most important thing...

Hey, it's me Lucifer, sorry about yesterday, I got held up. My ma got sick, and I got a flat tire on the way to the Apocalypse... I'm sorry. So are you guys still up for this world destruction thing? Yeah, none of my friends wanna do it anymore, they all got families they gotta deal with, and they took the day off for the whole thing. It's a drag. Hey, I'll tell ya what. Let's make plans now for next millenium, OK? It'll be 6/6/06 all over again. We can really do it right, then. Cool? Alrighty, don't forget now. See ya in a thousand.

you're on the right path with the mini golf or ice skating - it forces you to interact - maybe try a book store, Starbucks's or Coffee Bean (which I would recommend 100%, coffee houses were meant for conversation), a sporting event, the gym or maybe even a small bar or pub where you can talk for hours - movies are the kiss of death on a first date - good luck

Listen to Brad Paisley, Off his new album ticks that what you need to do except don't really check her for ticks. I mean take her some place she's never been that you have been and surprise her by setting up a little picnic or something. Just use your head, but mostly your heart.

dont act to desperate but maybe make it alittle obvious that there might be something there... or even just ask her if u wanna hang out sometime.. but act casual.. dont seem as if its gonna be the end of the world if she says she doesnt feel the same way about u... otherwise it might get screwd up lol
all the best..cheers.

I'd leave it for a while because she probably has stuff to do and will be rather tired from the trip. You could invite her round for dinner to talk about her holiday or to see some of her pictures.
