I started getting real bad headaches when I was 9. I am now 23. Most people are NOT like me, and you headaches WILL go away, or not even become a part of your life.
That being said, I feel like a non-medical expert because its been my life till now.
Yes, get the medicine yourself. If your mom gets upset, its time you and her talk about you being old enough to have asprin or ibuprofin when you are having an emergency. a pounding headache IS an emergency. it can be so bad you might need IV treatment in the ER.
If she doesnt understand, go to a friends parent for help, and once the school year start, go to the schools nurse AND counselor. You may need to see a neurologist. only they will be able to tell you for sure if its "just a headache" or if its "preventable migraines" or anything else.
pain keeps you from living your life to your fullest. there is no need to be spending your summer days indoors uncomfortable. Your mother hopefully understands this, and once you explain it to her, she will help you. Its hard to express your pain, because you are finally getting to an age where you are expressing your emotions with maturity and with a much larger vocabulary then ever in your life. Use em!
Good luck!
p.s. livejournal.com has a group for migraines and is a really helpful group of people if you ever need some info or just a place to vent.

First of all, get off the computer. It will only make it worse. If you've got a Gatorade, drink that. If not, then just open your window a bit for fresh air, lay on your bed with all the lights, TV, radio, etc., turned off, breathe deeply and relax. If you've got a beanie handy, put that on and pull it down over your eyes. It will squeeze your head in all the right places at the same time and also block out all light which will help you relax even more. Just keep breathing and relaxing. You should fall asleep pretty soon and that will take care of your headache without waking your mom. Good luck, sweet dreams.

A high dose of caffeen is good for a strong head ache, like a cup of coffee with a few spoonful of hot chocatle. SODA doesn't work all thaqt well. If you have in midal in the house that might work it has a high amount of caffeen.
Or take old wash rag and go into ta dark quite room and lay with the rag on your head and try to relax. I have migaines alot and have to take a shot for them so I know how you feel. Get way or shut off anything that is a stinulant, no tv, music it can just make it worst.
The best thing I have ever fund to work before my shots is the caffeen. Relax with a cool rag on your forhead and on the back of the neck, the neck is a preasure point for the brain and it helps. I promise

if it's severe enough to prevent you from sleeping, then i would wake your mom up. i'm a mother of 3 girls and if one of them woke me up with a bad headache-i would not be upset. i would just get up and get the ibuprofen for her.
you need to get a good night's sleep in order to function the next day and if you need something for your headache-then wake up your mom. Getting off the computer will help too b/c the bright screen causes strain to your eyes, making the headache worse. you being tired doesn't help either (i'm guessing it's VERY late where you are)
if you are truly afraid to wake up your mom (which i think is wrong) then try taking a hot shower (if able). the hot water will help the headache. or you can put a cold washcloth on your forehead to help soothe the pain.
lying down and just trying to sleep might be the best medicine though-we all need our sleep and sometimes headaches are our body's way of telling us it's time for bed!!
good luck to you

Depends on what is causing the headache. you might want to drink something with caffeine, in case that is the issue, usually is for me. Of course taking some tylenol or ibuprophen would work as well. If that all isnt possible, there is an old wives tale that says if you rub a cut potato on the spot on your head where it hurts, it will take the pain away. Give it a try, or just go lay down until it passes. Goodluck!

If it is killing you you should wake your mom up.... or get the medicine yourself, don't you know where it is? I am sorry, but I do not know other methods to cure a severe headache other than ibuprofen.
Good luck!

Don't know if this will work for you but my buddy showed me this, you just press kinda' hard on the front and back off your skull, it sounds silly but I did this yesterday, I had to do it four or five times through out an hour, and I felt better. If it hurts when you do it I would suggest you don't, or you could go about this the easy way and wake your mom up! that is much simpler.

There is no medicine for H/A OR MIGRAINE. Not only these but for almost all painful diseases. Hence they become chronic.
Acidity, excessive wind, cold , heat, sour food and sinusitis, constipation, intestinal inflammation;
Blockage in the flow of Vital Energy are their causes. None of them can be treated with medicine. Our 100% success in treating migraine &H/A confirms it.
Acupuncture is the best treatment. I can treat it with naturopathy and YOG, but how can you manage pl see.
Acidity and probably constipation/inflammation of intestines is cause of your H/A.
Avoid late sleeping if possible;spicy, sour, stale bakery foods and alcohole.
Sweet foods, COCOANUT WATER,sweet fruits, milk, rice, SPROUTS, SALADS and good sleep will help you.
But you try one herbal remedy- two drops of drumstick leaves' juice in opposite nostril if one side pains and both nostrils if full H/A will give you rescue. Betel leaf helps but it isvery strong.
If it is acute pl search a painful point 3-6 mm behind your thumb nail and press it, H/A will disappear within 30 seconds.

Go to sleep, honey. Or look for the ibuprofen yourself.
I know how much that hurts, you might want to get off the computer, since the light affects you also.
