yes if shes in pain,a chihuahua is a small breed of dog,and by hitting its head you cant see what damage is inside the brain, there could be internal bleeding a blood clot, and if not treated will lead to the dogs death, take your dog as soon as possible to a vet

Did a peanut fall on it? Is it just a lump where he hit it or is his whole head swollen? If its just a lump and your dog isnt drowsy or vomiting, i would try and stick a cold pad on to relieve the swelling. But if the dog is acting out of the ordinary i would see a vet. They will charge you an arm and a leg though. You could try phoning for advice instead.

could be a set back result of Hydrocephalus
according to my vet it is in chihuahuas anyway,
i have a J r and he was born with this condition but was kicked by a horse while at his previous owners home, when he was given back to us and i took him to the vets he had blood tests and Brain scan(which showed fluid present) the vet told me the horse kick would have emphasised the condition, so get him/her checked out as you could save more damage being done

Absolutely. Head injuries can be fatal. Throw a blanket over him so you dont get bit, but get him to an emergency vet.
