In general, the more extreme the climate already is the more pronounced the effects of global warming will be. Consequently the most dramatic effects have already been observed in extremely hot parts of Africa and Asia and extremely cold places like Siberia and the Arctic.
Malaysia has the advantage of being a well developed nation and has the finances and resources to mitigate against many of the effects of global warming. For example, if global warming leads to drought in Malaysia and the crops fail then food can be imported, but if the same thing happens in Africa you have a famine and people die.
One effect is a gradual warming of average temperatures but this will be barely noticeable in Malaysia. If for example it was 1°C warmer today than yesterday you'd probably not notice, you certainly wouldn't notice if this change occured over 60 years.
One thing that has been observed in Malaysia is an increase in the number of adverse weather and related events. No single event can be blamed on global warming but the general trend is an upward one and looks likely to continue.
Another noticeable effect in Malaysia is occuring in the oceans. As with many effects this isn't immediately noticeable unless you set out to look for it. The oceans are becoming more acidic and this is affecting the corals and marine life.
Levels of rainfall are also increasing but because Malaysia has a high level of rainfall anyway the effects aren't immediately apparent.
In time the effects will be more pronounced and particularly when the climate in say 50 or 100 years time is compared to the current climate.

I agree with the thought that one nation cannot look at Global Warming in isolation from other countries.
I'll add that Global Warming can't be considered in isolation from other environmental issues.
I agree with the clear cutting and burning of the rain forest as the major issue.
Equally important in terms of the world ecosystem is the loss of the associated species that live in those forests. The current rate at which species become extinct now exceeds any mass extinction in history.
Phillip K. Dick wrote a cautionary tale about it. It was called "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?." The idea was that in our zeal to exterminate every other living thing we find in our path (with the intent of adapting the world to us), people one day woke up to discover that all other species have mysteriously died. We then go on to discover we ourselves are poorly adapted to live in the world we have made. Robot pets become a feeble way to combat our loneliness and despair.

no country can think of global warming in isolation. one cannot say that when the poles melt(GOD FORBID), than my country will not be effected?????????? global warming is an universal phenomenon and all of us will swim or sink to gather!!!!!!!!!! two issues that are most damaging are--- firstly indiscriminate use of non-renewable sources of energy and secondly use of gadgets which emit greenhouse gases.LETS RESOLVE TO DO SOMETHING ABOUT THEM!!!!!!

1) its natural and has been going on for millions of years ( 40 mill years ago earth was an average of 6 degrees hotter , which is a ton)
2) people are putting so much carbon dioxide and ozone onto our atmosphere making a layer of clouds giving our planet a greenhouse effect.
