It is scary but try not to focus and dwell on it too much. Death is a natural part of life that is inevitable. I will die someday which gives me even more incentive and motivation to live the life I have now. I do not know what happens beyond death and I cant tell you what happens but I can tell you that life is too short to worry about death so cheer up, smile, and live life to the fullest extent. You'll be much happier. At least I hope.=)

I used to be scared to die and even now I dont want to die but Im not scared to die. I know that what I've lived my life the best I could and I know thats all I need to do and so there is no reason for me to be scared. If all I leave is a memeory of me I know its the best I could have done and I have family watine on the other side for me and are going to welcome me with open arms and that excites me more than anything else. I had a realy good friend die almost 2 years ago and I would give almost anything to see him again and I know when I die I will be able to see him and that makes the pain of missing him bearable. I have seen an autopsy and its kinda gross but I know that God gave us medical things for a reason and if thats what needs to be done them Im ok with it so long as Im really dead and I dont have to see it. After I got my patriartical blessing it was esayer for me to come to tearms with death becasue I could see that the Lord had a plan for me and I like the plan..:) but I knew that if I died I would be ok. and my friends and family over tim i may just be a memory but Id be a memory that changed there lifes and would always be there. So now as you can see im made my peace with death.

Death is nothing to be scared of. Try living first.
Make plans to accomplish something every year.
Of course I'll be a memory, how else will I grow if I don't die once in awhile? Plus GOD may need me somewhere and I will have to change form, who knows. If GOD is pleased I will stay here and do what I can, as he/she needs. If I return to GOD's side to be reassigned that's good also. My body? Don't worry about that - as you know after the final we get a new complete body, one that never ages, or gets sick; if you have asthma like me, you get new lungs - which I am looking forward to. Anyway I plan to be cremated as I will be portable! I will be able to travel on the wind or in a nice box and that's cool. or not it doesn't scare me. Also I may help medical students and let them learn about stuff, so they can save others. I won't mind as I'll be elsewhere, maybe Bermuda, never been there. Humans don't know maybe I'll be a ghost! Then I'll pick a nice school and help kids from bullies. Anything is possible.
If you can live believing all the things humans think are true GOD will keep you very busy. I can be reincarnated or spend time as a slug, and be part of food chain, or visit friends in heaven for awhile untill reassigned as I said earlier.
I have been ready to die long ago when I went to sea on my first submarine. Actually I died many times after the hatches were closed we were off the face of the earth, until we came back to see our friends and families. Ever study Samurai, well they are dead sort of, but happy sort of because of their discipline. I have all my papers in order and will only miss my son, so I plan to live untill he is a grandfather, then I think I'll be ready to start over maybe a mouse...
My beliefs forbid half of what I said - so I tend to believe what I want. Remember no humans knows anything about what GOD is doing. So enjoy your life! Each day is your last, as you only get one day at a time. Be very busy enjoying it.
Peace.

What if death is you still have your thoughts without a body? Then anything you imagine would be real. In any case I suspect it bothers you subconsciously, where it's harder to get at. Our upbringing and everything in our life we put together and beliefs we don't remember, keep it fear alive. It's handled with emotional intelligence. I found a website that has a book on emotional intelligence and a pile of other ones all free. I haven't read the book yet, but I think it will be great.
When you understand emotions then you know that emotions and reason handle emotions. Love covers a group of emotions when you divide them into two motivators, love and fear. You may remember the quote, "Perfect love casts out fear." ! John 4:18 For some reason we have chosen, especially in the West, to ignore emotions and concentrate on the thinking, but you can't think straight if you don't have your emotions in your power.

Everyone was born, and everyone will eventually die and you will have some sort of burial of your remains.
Those who knew you and loved you in this life will grieve when you die, but eventually they will die too and we will just become memories or forgotten about years and years later.
If you have certain things that bother you like the autopsy and stuff - INFORM your family, and make them aware of your concerns and wishes as they will be the ones who have say over what is done when you die.
I do not want to be embalmed or buried and I have serious issues with that, since I've found that Islam is against cremation in most cases... but also I do realize when we die we are dead and we have no control over what is done with our bodies at that point. So now I try not to worry too much about what will happen when I die, I am more concerned about where my soul will go when I die.

I don't fear death. Upon death we will open our eyes where? In Heaven. We will be in spirit form until the last day. Our body will then be reunited with our spirit. Our body will be transformed into a perfect body. There will be no such thing as being overweight, needing glasses, sickness, disease, etc. etc. We will still be us-who we are, but our body will be without defect. I think you can put it in your will and/or make it known that you do not want an autopsy done. But, autopsy or not, your body will be perfect. A person, lets say a soldier, has an arm shot off in battle. His resurrected, perfect body will have both arms and in perfect condition. It will be the same way with us. There will be nothing wrong.

You are afraid of death. So you embrace something that makes it possible for you not to fear death. That's not a good reason to embrace a religion or philosophy. In Christianity, there are martyrs (sp) who were killed because they would not recant their beliefs. Rather than embracing Christianity as a way to avoid thinking about their own death, they faced their own death because of their beliefs.
My personal belief is that when I die, my body will no longer be alive, and it will rot away. As for the rest, I don't know. And Christians in general don't know, because the Bible doesn't tell them. (I think Muslims are given somewhat of a description in the Qu'ran.)
I don't fear death, because it doesn't make sense to live in fear of death. Focus on life while you're here. If you're staring at someone who is about to shoot you, realize that if they only wound you, you'll be alive and won't have to worry about death. If they kill you, you'll know the truth soon enough. Why worry about it before it happens?
As far as spiritual beliefs, religion and eternity, I don't think people should base their choices in those areas on a fear of death. Not a good way to make an elightened decision...

What the Bible say about death.
In God's new system, it will be done away with.
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Ha′des were hurled into the lake of fire. This means the second death, the lake of fire.
Some religions teach that Hades [ Greek for Hell] is permanent. But the scripture says it will go into fire..be destroyed.
And it is linked with death.
Because it is simply man's grave.
(Revelation 20:12-13) And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and scrolls were opened. But another scroll was opened; it is the scroll of life. And the dead were judged out of those things written in the scrolls according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up those dead in it, and death and Ha′des gave up those dead in them, and they were judged individually according to their deeds.
The sea is the grave for seamen.
So death is to end. Here is the promise;
(Revelation 21:4) And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”
So if we do not die, we must live on....forever.
Forever is eternally.......Where?
(Psalm 37:9) For evildoers themselves will be cut off, But those hoping in Jehovah are the ones that will possess the earth.
(Psalm 37:11) But the meek ones themselves will possess the earth, And they will indeed find their exquisite delight in the abundance of peace.
(Psalm 37:29) The righteous themselves will possess the earth, And they will reside forever upon it.
(Psalm 37:34) Hope in Jehovah and keep his way, And he will exalt you to take possession of the earth. When the wicked ones are cut off, you will see [it].
Very little is said about going to heaven...except for a verty small number.
Rev. 7;4...14;1 and
(Revelation 20:4-5) And I saw thrones, and there were those who sat down on them, and power of judging was given them. Yes, I saw the souls of those executed with the ax for the witness they bore to Jesus and for speaking about God, and those who had worshiped neither the wild beast nor its image and who had not received the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand. And they came to life and ruled as kings with the Christ for a thousand years. 5 (The rest of the dead did not come to life until the thousand years were ended.) This is the first resurrection.
A very important job.
There will NOT be billions sitting around on clouds with harps with nothing to do.
Those resurrected and those who survive Armageddon will be on the earth cleaning it up.
(Revelation 11:18) But the nations became wrathful, and your own wrath came, and the appointed time for the dead to be judged, and to give [their] reward to your slaves the prophets and to the holy ones and to those fearing your name, the small and the great, and to bring to ruin those ruining the earth.”

The fear of death is worse than death itself.
I have in the brink of death before surgery and doctor would not give a penny for my life. The were not optimistic in the least bit. I was at peace thinking that for sure I was gonna die.
When you "know" that death is imminent, there is no fear.
I personally would be happy to go and see my loved ones in heaven again...

Death is not the end. It should only scare you if your beliefs tell you that death is the end. If you believe in any religion, death is but a phase. In some religions, it is a transition into another life, Day of Resurrection (Christianity, Judiasm, Islam) while in others it leads to reincarnation. The thought of Resurrection should make you feel happy. You get to be on God's good side and enter Heaven.
