Disturbing but i found a cut up cat in my backyard it is kind of scaring me and i dont know what i should do?

so this morning i let me dogs out and saw a dismembered cat in my yard. it doesnt look like an animal got it and it kind of scares me if it was intentionally cut up... what should i do?

im a white guy in an upperscale neighborhood of denver, colorado... also i took the remains to field to bury it do i still have a case or no?

You should definitely report this. Whoever that did this might do it again, let the neighbours know and have them watch out for suspicious strangers.. keep the pets indoor if possible.

There used to be serial cat-killer here in my country, he murdered 20-30 cats in about a month. Their throats were slit open..

Usually all animal cruelty situation should be reported to the police. They may have other incidents like this one and have some suspects around or if not, they sure can alert some to be on the lookout for such cruelty. Whoever did it, is an abuser of animals and needs to be punished by the law. Please report it to the authorities. They will also alert the animal police person who will come and dispose of the carcus properly. It's against the law to put it into a trash can.

I would report it to the police or Human Society as this behavior is considered a precursor to a person committing more serious crimes. Other people may have found simular instances in your neighborhood. Also, I don't know how big your dogs are but they could be next.

oh my goodness how sad!!!!!!! you must be tramatized. be careful about it. the kitty might have some disease. i would report animal abuse to the police and have them come and check it out. maybe they can find the person who did it. if not, give it a proper burial even though you dont know it, and pray for it. i feel very bad now i hope you are ok. this is what terrible humans do to poor defensless animals like that kitty.=-(

umm...if you can, ring up your local RSPCA or equivalent animal service and report the incident...in case it was intentional, some animal sicko's out there n the proper authorities should know about it. depending on what they say, you can then either bury the poor thing (or if you dont wanna, get someone else to...a friend or something) or whatever

I would first call an animal rescue team. If you can't find one or they can't be contacted, then I would call the police. This cat can't harm you so try and help it in the meantime by giving it water and cat food if you have any. If not they also like to eat tuna.

Call the police and have them investigate it. If someone intentionally did that they need to be caught! That is so sick, the poor cat ugg why would someone do that :-(

There isn't much you can do for the cat so just call animal control so they can pick it up, or take it to the shelter.

Remember to lock your doors at night . But yes, turn it in somehow-911 or animal control mostly. That'd be weird. Any pics....that could work as evidence to send to them to investigate it.

Well sorry about that could it of been racial thing? Are you in a bad neighbor hood? Let the cops see it and they will tell you what's going on. From what you said is very vague.. So I dont know.. but its worth inspecting..Luck to you on this.
