yes the new testament said so
Matthew 6:7
And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.
Matthew 6:32
For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them.
1 Corinthians 5:1
[ Expel the Immoral Brother! ] It is actually reported that there is sexual immorality among you, and of a kind that does not occur even among pagans: A man has his father's wife.
1 Corinthians 10:20
No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons.
1 Corinthians 12:2
You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astray to mute idols.
1 Peter 2:12
Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us.
1 Peter 4:3
For you have spent enough time in the past doing what pagans choose to do—living in debauchery, lust, drunkenness, orgies, carousing and detestable idolatry.
3 John 1:7
It was for the sake of the Name that they went out, receiving no help from the pagans.
NOTE - ALL THESE ARE WITH OUT CONTEXT BUT I SUGGEST YOU READ THE WHOLE NEW TESTAMENT YOURSELF
does that answer your questions?

First let me tell you that most of the holy days of the Christian Religion actually came from Pagan Holy Days! The Christmas Tree was originally From a Druid practice! Yet most Christian religions will say it is a Sin against God to practice Paganism!
By making it a Sin they were able to keep people coming to their Church and placing money into the collection box, instead of Worshiping where and what the individual chose.

Yes. But not for the reasons you might think of...
Paganism isn't ONLY about Magick... that's actually a small part of it. Paganism is about spirituality, about a connection, a relationship, with our Deities. It's about how we see the world, our place in it and how we affect it.
Paganism is polytheistic, meaning that you believe in and worship multiple Gods and Goddesses. This is diametrically opposed to the principles of Christianity.
So, in MY personal opinion, you cannot practice one while practicing the other, as you are invalidating both by doing so.

I know many fellow witches who Gnostic Christians. As the answers before me stated, do some reasearch and reading (Cunningham and Buckland are highly recogmended). There are many different Magical Paths many of wich don't follow the Bible or even believe in a Hell. Just do your reaserch and find what makes the most sense to you. And remember God (buy the Wiccan and Christian standards) is all loveing and very understanding and would not send you to hell for exploring something that interests you. Blessed Be! Kayla

There are prohibitions against practicing magic in the Bible. Let me give you a few examples from the New Testament. Look up Acts 19: 17 -20 The sorcerers confessed and burned their scrolls. It also says that people who practice witchcraft will have no place in heaven.

Deut 18:10-13 NKJV
10 There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, or one who practices WITCHCRAFT, or a soothsayer, or one who interprets omens, or a SORCERER, 11 or one who conjures SPELLS, or a MMEDIUM, or a SPIRITIST, or one who calls up the dead. 12 For all who do these things are an ABOMINATION to the Lord, and because of these abominations the Lord your God drives them out from before you.
Gal 5:19-21 NKJV
19 Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, 20 idolatry, SORCERY, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, 21 envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Why does pagan magic strike your interest? What do you think you could accomplish with "pagan magic" that you couldn't accomplish through Catholic prayers?

Hi JB, The clear answer is that it is absolutely contrary to Christianity to practice any form of magic. You can't run with the hare and the hounds! Magic is part of the occult and Christians should have no truk with it.
The Bible is clear on the issue. Ezekiel 13:18,20.
Acts 19:19 tells of people who once believed in magic brought their books and burned them.
Hope this helps you.

"All the things that were written aforetime were written for our instruction..." -- Romans 15:4a
"... You must not look for omens,
and you must not practice magic. -- Leviticus 19:26b
"Subject yourselves, therefore, to God; but oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you. Draw close to God, and he will draw close to you." --James 4:7-8
"...Many of those who had become believers... Indeed, quite a number of those who [had] practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them up before everybody..." --Acts19:18,19
"All Scripture is inspired of God and beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight, for disciplining in righteousness, that the man of God may be fully competent, completely equipped for every good work." -- 2 Timothy 3:16,17
The Bible --the Word of God-- clearly warns against magic, so, it follows that Biblical Christianity also does.
However, the Catholic Church has long allowed paganism -- "Santeria", being only one example:
