Prison rape?

Question

Hi! I was just wondering, is female prison like male prison, girls can get raped too? If so, how common is it? Do girls get beat up? Sorry if this is a weird qestion, but my cousin is going to prison for a long time for attemped murder, and she's scared. Please only serious answers, don't mention the crime she did, she knows she was wrong. I just need aswers.

Not to scare you cousin, but it's actually just as tough if not more than a male prison. Once the girls go in there, they become aggressive tomboys and act like men. It also matters what state she committed the crime in because some of the jails are over populated and toughness varies by location, so that's a huge factor. The type of crime that a person commits also plays a role in what their fate is in prison. They usually go after child molesters first, then murders, then attempted murderers, than crimes that are less offensive. Rapes in women prisons are as frequent in male prisons. A piece of advice for your cousin: Try not to trust as many people as you think. At the end of the day THEY WILL SAY BETTER YOU THAN THEM in bad situations.

There are a lot of myths about prison life. A lot depends on what prison she is going to. I am assuming a State penitentiary; so that depends on which state it's in. Rural States, like Montana, Wyoming, etc. don't have the gang problems like the pens in New York or California.

Her treatment also will depend on who she attempted to off. Her husband or boyfriend, she will find some sympathy since many of the women there come from abused homes. If she tried to kill her kids, then the situation might get dicey for her.

She will be assigned a counselor and she needs to listen to that person. That is her best bet.

She needs, right now, to shed the fear: inmates sense fear like sharks do blood in water---and they WILL attack on that....and it ain't pretty.

Security officers who have worked both male and female populated prisons all say breaking up female prisoner fights are way tougher....and this is backed up by female inmates I've also interviewed.

Regardless of the prison, be it male or female populated, CONSENSUAL homosexual activity does certainly take place. After all: people of the same sex are locked away, some for many many.....many years; so yes, it's bound to happen and is regarded as a fact of prison life.

According to inmates--both male and female--prison rapes are stuff of Hollywood film movies. The biggest laugh inmates get are from those in states that have put into law the Prison Rape Elimination Act (PREA); saying the "suits (Federal and/or state lawmakers and elected officials ) are f**king CLUEless of what's going on beyond their comfy offices, limos and mansions......".

It doesn't matter how big and bad you are, there's someone bigger and badder. They won't even bother asking her name, if it looks good enough, they'll take it. And just for your knowledge, prisoners have no rights, so rapes go under the table. unacknowledged.

they say woman dont get raped, but most woman, straight included get a partner because it is their mother instinct to be with someone, they say they are in love but only while in prison...as for the violence, if she takes her attitude to prison, then someone will be there to remove it....good luck

everything the men do the women do the same things.there are gangs in both and there are fights in both.you also need to remember it is her fault she is going to prison and she is getting what she deserves
