I got two cats. A siamese and an egyptian mau. I hate dogs. Is that weird or what? If I suddenly became single would it be hard to find chicks that don't think I'm a weirdo? My apartment doesn't stink. I'm 25. I hate dogs cause they're stupid.

I guess it's a common misconception that men love dogs and women love cats. It's not weird at all. It's just your preference. If you were to suddenly become single, any girl that would think you were weird, isn't worth having as a girlfriend anyways! I think it's sweet and it wouldn't deter me one minute. Plus I know lots of hot, smart guys that love cats more than dogs.

nah its not weird. My best friend has 5 cats - 2 shelter mutt cats, 1 Bengal, 1 Siamese, and 1 Manx. hes a 31 year old male and he doesnt like girls ahahh. kidding. He likes cats more than dogs.. just a prefrence. Women dont care one way or another, actually you probably would score more points since you HAVE animals. Just be sure to find a girl that likes cats. When I met my X husband he had 2 cats I had 2 cats and I did fostering but I also had 4 dogs hahah and we got 3 more during our marriage.

No, I do not think it is weird at all. You are just a cat person, not a dog person. Your pet preference should not have an affect on your dating success unless she is allergic to cats. If anything I would think it would help. Girls love a guy who is not afraid to show some affection to their pet whether it be cat or dog. This shows a softer side to your manly personality.
I love cats. I don't really hate dogs, but I would prefer a cat any day. I agree that a lot of dog breeds are silly acting but this does not mean that dogs are stupid.I have had several wonderful and smart dogs as pets and loved them dearly. My cat I have now is like our baby and he acts like it sometimes too. Cats love to be pampered and spoiled and they can take themselves to the bathroom and you don't have to go out in the cold or in the heat to walk them.
And again, no it is not weird!

No it is not weird to like something better than another.Regardless if it's animal or food . We are born to have different thoughts, desires. Gosh if we all felt the same
what boredom life would be. And you have a top choice in
both cats. Dogs can be taught as each one I've had went to training school then I did the rest. Many phrases and words over and over like teaching a child.Actually babies are stupid
and it takes quite some time to teach anything. My dog
has a large vocabulary. Learn everthing there is to know about your cats to empress a girl . Leave out :"dogs are stupid" she might have one. It isn't the dog ,it's the man not teaching the dog that's stupid, for if they would read about training their dog instead of hollering, kicking etc they could have a very smart, devoted ,protective friend, for life. Good luck. It's not the animals fault, it's mans.

No, you're not weird. Cats are totally awesome to have as friends and companions. I've been fortunate to know and love quite a few wonderful kitties in my time, and I'm a pretty macho guy. I don't give a damn if anyone else likes them or not! But, when I see a cat, my heart does a little happy dance, and I immediately try to make friends with it.
But, I must take issue with you on one thing: dogs are not dumb or stupid! They are just as awesome as cats, just for different reasons.

Many women like cats so it shouldn't be a big deal. If you're really worried about it go out with the girl for awhile and then bring her by to meet the crew. You can also look for a cat lover problem solved. BTW cats are a good judge of character if they don't like the girl then you probably don't want to be bothered with her.

Cats are bizarre creatures. They are independent and resilient. Owners have to be as well. Be independent, not be afraid of rejection, etc. On the other hand, not all dogs are stupid. Most dogs are honest - they are what they are. What I like about them is they don't lie and they don't cheat and they don't steal. How great is that? Some are very stupid, but most are not. Just like people. It's too bad that you "hate" dogs so much. They teach us so much about ourselves. Which most of us don't want to know about. "Selflessness" is a hard concept for us to grasp.

nope ur preference for cats isn't weird, my bf likes cats better then dogs.
i have 2 cats & used to have a dog who died in feb at age 17 :-( she loved the cats & was like a mommy to them. they cried when she died. i decided not to get another dog for now cos she was hard work (walks and all).
1st-ly, make sure ur apartment doesn't stink (sometimes you need a 2nd persons nose to tell you), you might just be used to the smell.
2-ndly, lots of people are allergic to cat fur (I'm am) so brush your cats alot & vaccum.
3-rdly, i find it quite offensive that you say you "hate" dogs cause they;re stupid.
If you wanna find "chicks" (hot ones like me anyway) you'll realise that harshly worded opinions like that put them off. You might use milder language like, "I'm more of a cat person..." or even "I'm not really a dog person"...

I was going to say "no - of course not" but I'm thinking girls might not like you for other reasons. First, you have horrible grammar "I got two cats". And secondly, being narrow-minded about dogs. Maybe you've been around a dog that wasn't very smart but most dogs are quite intelligent. So though I don't think "chicks" will think you're a weirdo they may very well think you a jerk.

It is not weird. I have three beloved cats and three beloved dogs. They are friends. Dogs are very smart, but take more time to care for. If you work and gone a lot, cats are a better choice for pets. Don't totally rule out dogs, at least get to know them, they make wonder full pets just as cats do.
