Is it better to transfer from a university or just a state college. Intended major is Electrical Engineering. Thanks for any input.

I mean does it increase my chances of getting in if I go from University to University. Or State College to University? Or is it really about the same?

Columbia doesn't look to highly on transfer students. Yet you could try, they have an excellent engineering program, one of the best in country.

NYU doesn't have an engineering program.
Cooper Union isn't a big school. Since it's an all scholarship program I don't know if they even allow transfers.

The only decent engineering program in Manhattan is Columbia.
If you can venture over rivers, there is Polytechnic University in Brooklyn and Stevens Institute of Technology in Hoboken.

It doesn't really matter where you transfer from, but you better have good grades.
