you cant put it on scale - you have to take vitamins to make sure your body gets them because people dont get all needed vitamins and minerals from food they eat during the day

3 because vitamins are an unnatural form for the body to take. And because a lot of vitamins on the market are basically useless. Unless it's a brand name vitamin, don't trust the labels. Eating a variety of healthy foods, like vegetables, fruits, lean meats, and getting exercise is so much more important for being healthy. But if you can't or choose not to eat well and excercise, then the lazy thing to do is take vitamins.

It's the opposite of the answer to this:
On a scale of 1 to 10, how healthy is your diet?
If you've got a great diet, you don't need vitamins. If it stinks, you do need them.
I take daily vitamins about 3 times a week. Not relevant, but a fact.

If you're eating a healthy, well-balanced diet, vitamins should not be required at all. If you are lacking certain vitamins in your diet, you should try to take those specific vitamins only, although it is better to try to increase intake of the foods that contain those vitamins. Taking vitamins you don't need won't actually harm you short-term, however, it does cause your kidneys to work overtime trying to filter out what your body didn't need in the first place.

hmm...it depends on alot of things really, but the benefits are there...i'de say a 10. for example, stress deplets the body of nutrients....so does any kind of sickness, and people do not really eat perfectly, and even if they did and were stressed out they would need vitamins. just one thing: only take 1 vitamin a day...you can take too much and have a lot of problems because of this.
my fav vitamins are 1 multi vitamin and mineral tab a day, plus i take fish oil..i caplet a day.

If you have a diet with a big variety lot of fruits and veggies, probably not much.
More limited diet, it is more important.
