I think the clip on idea is great, i know you can get one at bodyjewelryfactory.com and I am sure there are other places as well. You can then see if you like how it looks. And yes the hole will close and if you take good care of it, and if needed put vitamin E on it, it shouldn't scar. The great thing about piercings is that when you are done with them they will heal. I would definitly get the clip-on it will give you the oppurtunity to get the look without the pain or commitment.

It can look ok. I personally don't have any but each person is in their right to do as they wish. The hole will heal up though there is a small mark left over. If you want to try it, they have some "fake" piercings which involve not puncturing the skin and you can get an idea whether you like the look. Just know that there is always a chance of a real piercing becoming stuck onto some article of clothes.

Hi,
I got one when I was 16 and had to take it out when I was 7 months pregnant, I have friends that have left theirs in and its been fine. Mine has made a big ugly scar! They do close up but you will always be able to see where the hole was and the stretch marks you get on the skin that sits above the belly bar look quite gross. It hasnt bothered me as my stretch marks make me keep my shirt on anyway so its up to you. But if you are thinking you will have regrets then probably dont go ahead with it, they arent that fantastic and I liked mine while I had it (for 4 years) and now its just an ugly scar : )

It's really up to YOU !!
Three things to consider?
1. Do you thing that you have a - stomach that such as this would look great/sexy with a piercings?
2. I personally do not like the BIG or GOTHIC, HEAVY items. I think that something small and not to gaudy would probably look great.
3. As far as the "holes" ? This is why I would think real hard about #2. The smaller the entry / exit holes the less likely they would show up later if you decided to remove it and have them heal over.
This is just my though on the subject.

Personally, I love mine. However, it hurt like CRAZY when I had it done. Everyone else I've talked to said it wasn't bad, but I apparently have tough skin or something, cause it took the guy two needles to get through. So the actual piercing was not fun. But I love how it looks, and it's just fun for me. And I'm not super skinny or anything...just normal sized. But as for whether or not you should do it...that is something that YOU have to decide. You're the one that has to live with it, and more importantly, the one that has to take care of it so it doesn't get infected. So make sure that you're willing to take care of it before you get it.

I personally like them. I have it done and am thinking about piercing the bottom navel part too. If you're having bad thoughts about getting it done even before the procedure, you shouldn't get it done. That clearly justifies that you have insecurities. Once you get it pierced I'm not sure if it will close up but I'm sure it will leave a scar. You shouldn't sweat it that much unless you show off your belly a lot. Hope this helped.

the holes do close after a period of time of it being left out. (could take a few years) If you do get it pierced it is very hard to keep it uninfected the first 5 months, but after that it is very worth having the belly ring, just make sure you always have a few extra metal balls incase the ball on the back gets lost or falls off.

Well i'm 14 too, but i already have mine done!! My mom didn't want me too either, but i was going to do it myself because all my friends were talking about getting one and i wanted to be one of the first so my mom finally took me since she didn't want me doing it myself! Although she now admits she thought i would freak out and not follow through since i still cry and try to walk out of the doctors office when i get a shot!!
I absolutely love mine...you can match it with your bathing suit and stuff! I know plenty of married adults with kids that have there's! The lady i babysit for took hers out when she was pregnant with her first son because she didn't want the hole to stretch out and left it out until she was done having kids! It left a tiny scar, but nothing too noticable! After her 4th kid was born she got it redone 3 months later because she loved it so much and it also gave her motivation to lose the weight she gained during preganancy!
I think you should deffinately do it...they are absolutely adorable and if you do change your mind and take it out the scar is so small someone would have to be physically starring at your stomach to notice!!
I have a very low tolerance of pain and although it did hurt i could handle it without even my eyes watering because i knew i was gaining from the pain...so really if you're excited to get it instead of scared it doesn't hurt that bad!

I really like mine. It was a Christmas present from my dogs years ago.
Yes, you can find clip-ons. I have seen them in adult novelty stores and in a few stores that sell other body jewelry.
It's your decision to do it or not, but remember you can take it out and eventually there will be no signs of you ever having had it pierced.
edit:
To the person who says god doesn't want you to desecrate your body but it's ok to get ears pierced...what do you think ear piercing is? You can't twist things to work both ways.

They are very sexy on a girl with a flat stomach :) Only get it done by a professional, and yes the holes will close up.
As far as you getting it done.. I think you should if you feel comfortable in a 2 piece bathing suit.
