Well my aunt had to unload her two year old on me for a bit. I baby sat her daughter for two days over night and will be watching her til at least four o clock in the afternoon tomorrow. We didn't get to negotiate a price so what do you think would be the most fair?

Random b: This is how it is in my family even my grandmother charges for babysitting her grandkids (the ones that require care that is) If her Daughter was a little older i would just have done it as a favor but she is in her terrible two's and requires constant care. She didn't even leave enough diapers for goodness sake.

at LEAST $100 if you want to be cheap. or else you may be left feeling totally taken advantage of, if not already.

LOL you'll be lucky if you get paid. In my family it was expected for the older children to babysit whenever needed and if you asked for money you where lucky if all you got was a lecture from a parent! Let her set the price or have your mom discuss it with her since she's more likely to be generous with your mom over you.

That's a big responsibility and I would not charge less than $10/hr (it's family!). Reasonably, you want to make at LEAST $100/day if you're on 24hr call, for goodness sake!

That's fare for family.

was the two days just night time or day and night?

If you had her for two days straight I would say at least 80 a day.

Although, some people may say that it's family, so you shouldn't expect to be paid.

wow, she's family and you feel that you have to charge her for babysitting your family member? you and the people telling you how much to charge don't seem to realize that sometimes people do things for each other out of love not to see how much they'd benefit from it.

well you're family...so i would count myself lucky if she gave you 20 bucks...don't hit her up for too much because it would be tacky. one day im sure she shall return the favor if she hasent already done so. that's what makes family so special...taking care of each other in need.

Talk to her and see what she was thinking and if it seems like a fare price take it if not talk her up.
