Yeah, it would last about a week or so. Very messy. Have a female pug myself. If you are a breeder find a male soon. The swelling will go done in time. And don't worry, things are going to be fine!! Good luck to you.

Yes. After this heat cycle, you should wait a couple of weeks and then get her spayed. Believe me, if you haven't considered it yet, you will be eager to do it after this is over....
