Bi-polar does not go away. It may go into remission but it is always there. You need to go to your physician and be under his care. You can lead a normal life if you are under his care and take your meds.

Bipolar is the new name for what used to be called manic depression. I am not a psychiatrist but I will try to help you out.
It is a condition with highs and lows. Actually if you see your doctor and or psychiatrist they can check you out if you have bi polar they would give medications. Bi polar if it has the right medication then all it can be done is to keep it stable.

The clinical name for your illness really does not matter.
The important thing is that you recognize you are having problems.

Your problems can get serious, as you experienced before.
Do go see a Dr. Tell him about your depression, and about your previous suicide attempt.

The Dr. should help you find the mental health care you are in need of ......... and some form of treatment to help you to feel and function as close to normal as possible.

It is best if you wait for the Dr. to determine which form of depression you have. Simply assuming it's bipolar may not be helpful.

Don't wait, make that appointment in the morning.
