It could mean one of two things:
A] They are STILL interviewing for that position.
B] For one reason or another - and, yes, there are many - they hired another person for that position.

DON’T wait for a call-back. “Chalk this one up” to experience, forget it and move on to other interviews.

If the arcade does call and you don’t have another position yet, go to work for the arcade.

Thank you for asking your question. You did a great job - not only for your information, but for every other person interested in reading a sensible answer.

TYVM!

I wish you well!

VTY,
Ron B.

Though they've probably hired other people, it's possible that the hiring process may be going slower than expected. Call them and ask about the status of your application. You never know, they may have tried to call and not gotten through for some reason. If they say they've already hired someone, politely thank them for their time. You never know, they may end up firing the new hire and turn to you next. Be courteous in case you have to deal with them in the future.

They have already hired. They will keep you on file for 3 to 6 months. You can always apply again. Do not lie on the application, and do not take your friends with you. Most places will not hire friends at the same time.

You could always call them and say that you were wondering if a decision was made yet. This might show them that you are really interested in the job.
Maybe they just haven't finished up yet.

They always say they'll call you back, even if theyre not interested in hiring you. You should call them and ask for an interview

I would call them back if you are really interested. Did you apply with your friend? They might not take you too seriously. Ask what they are looking for in an employee. Good luck
