my best friend and i were hanging up her family's laundry because it was her chore...and her brother who i really like asked us to come play basketball with him...and he is like amazinly good plays for the AAU Team...anywaz i had never shot a basketball before and i shot an air ball he starts laughing and teasing me i don't take teasing to well because i am extremely competitive so i went and sat on the curb...his sister got mad at him and said why'd you go and do that and then came over and i told her that she could still play with him and i would watch them...she said no lets just go inside...i wanted to watch them play...why would he tease me like that? It really hurt my feelings...does he like me is that why he asked us to play when he usually likes to play by himself to practice...othertimes i catch him looking at me and smiling at me

he probably does like you......he might have just been playing when he teased you.....he might have hoped that you would tease him back, since you said you're competitivie..he was probably expecting you to be like "don't worry, i'll kick your butt the next time..and i'll be the one lauhging"..but say it playfully...he didn't mean to hurt your feelings....just to get you to taunt back.

Boys are very competitive and very immature as well. It's their thing to tease. I wouldn't pay attention to the teasing. If he invited you to play it's probably to open the lines of communication between you two. The teasing is just another way for him to talk to you. He's just too stupid to realize it's not a good way to get on your good side.
So ignore the teasing and if you really like this guy well then ask him to teach you how to shoot the ball right.

Totally ignore him. Don't look at him... If He shows up leave. Save your pride and let him pursue you, or else he is just playing games. You are worth it...if he's a game player you don't want him anyway. Get over the initial "crush" and put the ball in his court. Keep the self respect intact above all costs!!!!!! If he is interested...he will come to you....and make him work at it. Don't put yourself into a "one way" thing where he is the victor and you end up crying every night.....ashamed.

Men love to tease.. lol. Dont be so sensitive. To be honest I think he might like you. He's teasing you because he likes you, plus his "thing" is playing basketball. Im sure it was all fun and games. Ask him out already girl...

He likes you as a friend...but its natual for guys to tease its their nature! dont be too too offended no offence guys but they dont know how to word things write that was probably meant to be a compliment or just saying that you need to improve...and practice but dont worry about it too much it happened no going back right>?
But i have to say I think he is flirting ...tell him you like him unless you like 13 and hes like 18.. as long as your around the same age its ok!

Boys tease a lot. Not all boys of course, but don't take it too seriously. He may like you and he may not. Teasing isn't especially a sign that will tell you for sure.

he's either flirting with you, childishly at that. or he's an asshole. i'd say if he smiles when he sees you, he probly likes you. also i'd practice basketball more so that way the next time he asks you to play, u can impress him. plus most guys like girls who can play sports.

but in this case he laughed at you and that is how he acted he felt embarrissed and walked away that is how you acted

Obviously he likes you. Immature young boys do silly things like that cos they don't know how else to get your attention. Lap it up and enjoy it!!
Ask him to teach you to play better, that way you can spend more time getting to know him.
Maybe you could "Accidentally" fall on him... hehe
