No because when you are drinking water you are also taking in air and then when it's time you have to release air and that is the burp.

well, usually if you drink too much, you usually swallow or you breathe in some air while you're drinking. it occurs not only in pop, but it's more common. Like when I drink water, especially when i'm really thirsty, I gulp down a whole lot of it and I usually end up burping. I don't think there's nothing wrong with it. Just part of every day thing!

I think you're making a wrong connection between water & burping. Water won't make you burp. Only air makes you burp. If water comes up, it's called puking.

If you drink it really fast, it's not weird. If you drink really fast, you are probably swallowing air as well, which is causing you to burp. If you don't drink fast, I have no idea.

When you have a burping reaction to water, it could be acid reflux. It would be a good idea to call your doctor and get his/her advice about this.

Did you gulp your bottle when you were a baby?

No, it's not weird--you're just swallowing air with your water.

Try drinking more slowly and swallowing quietly. Makes all the difference in the world!

Nope-perfectly normal. Liquid takes up space in your stomach and the gas must come out some way-up or down.
