First of all, do a bit of research. Just go the the Kohl's website to see who founded it and such. And get some questions to ask. Even if you don't really want to know, write them down (or put them to memory) to ask, whether about the job or business. This way, it shows you have an interest in the company.
Wear something casual and dressy. Something that says 'I will put effort to look nice but not so that it's distracting'. Don't wear anything revealing or short, and nothing too fashionable. Stick with the basics: mid-cut skirt with a tasteful print, and a solid blouse. Wear sensible but attractive shoes. No stilletos.
Sit straight up, hands in lap and ankles crossed. When asked a question, look them directly in the eyes and answer honestly, but not obviously. Be kind and watch your grammar. As in, don't say 'ain't'. Don't interrupt over the others and look at them as they speak. This gives them an impression of being a people-person.
You might be asked a series of questions, so have answers ready.
Why did you quit you quit your last job? You didn't have a previous job so instead state the reason you are looking to work there. If it's just because you need money or your parents are making you, don't say that. Say, instead, that you are looking to pay for college. This shows them that you set yourself financial goals and have an aim in life.
What hours are you available? Don't be afraid to be honest in this one. If you a hundred percent flexible, that's great, but if you can't work wednesdays for whatever reason, tell them that. They understand that you have a life outside work.
What are good qualities about yourself? Here you'll be worried that saying one thing might make you seem boastful but not saying that might not sell you v. well. Here's what you do. When stating what you are good at, state that 'you've been told' that or 'you've gotten awards' or 'you feel you are proficient'. For example, say you are good with people. State: 'I've been told that I'm friendly and easy to get-along-with.' It's always smart to say, when applying for any position that deals with customer service, that you enjoy helping people. Be careful not to sound robotic when saying it, though. Try telling a (made-up, if needed) story about how you went to some place and a cashier or worker person helped you in a surprisingly fantastic way and add that you'd like to do that for people (works every time). Also, if you were in any clubs in school, state that. Because clubs = socialisation.
What are your bad qualities? You have bad qualities. Maybe you don't like getting up early. But try telling the ones that are LESS bad. Such as, 'I'm clumsy'.
Good luck!

Being that it is a group interview, this is obviously not a formal one-on-one interview. You won't be alone. However, you will be working in small groups amongst other participants who are also following in the same position as you are applying for. Group interviews usually last for an hour tops and involves in group activities and questions about the position and how you would handle the situation. Several canidates will be watching your progress and group and will evaluate each individual.
If you did good enough in the interview, it's not over yet. You will then be contacted possibly by the store manager and have a formal one-on-one interview.
Good luck

I can understand that you are nervous, that's only natural. Don't worry it happens to everyone.
This is your chance to really sell yourself, basically what most employers are looking for are dedicated hard working employees that take their work seriously and work well with others even in troubled situations.
They are interested to see how professionally you appear you could handle with rude or ignorant costumers as well as rude employees who slack off, or become jerks after getting hired. Don't let that scare you, there are a lot of cool costumers that don't want to cause a scene or make things difficult, but they ARE out there.
I work for a grocery store and I've had costumers imply that I don't know what I'm doing in regards to following company policies that they don't agree with. Or simply the way I bag their groceries at the checkout lines even though I've been a checker for over a year with no problems from my boss. It has gotten to the point before where I have held my tongue only to call a manager to help diffuse the situation peacefully.
But as anything those are downsides to working in retail. You can always improvise a little and have fun with or at least chat with co-workers who are a lot like you. I would say go into your interview with the mindset of looking forward to the job and selling yourself at every chance you can in order to get it.
If you sound confident and enthusiastic, those are two big things that will help you.

Through out all the job interviews I've been through, these quesitons have always popped up.
Why do you wnat to work with us?
Give me a time where you had to deal with a really difficult person?
Name a difficult situation you were once in and how did you get out of it?
Where do you see yourself in X amount of years? or How high do you plan to go?
I've also had many cases where they gave me case examples and asked how I'd solve them.
Also you should give the interviewer a really good first impression of yourself. Where something formal and bring a file folder with your resume and all your certificates regardless whether they are imporatnat or not. My brother had an interview with KMart a few weeks back. The interviewer pretty much wanted to hire him before even asking him a question because he was the only one who looked serious for a job, even if it was for minimum wage.

they would usually want to know why u want to work for them, if you are mature enough, are you dependable, can you work any hours, how good are you with handling cash, any experience, smile, look straight at the people's eyes when talking to them, don't shake your leg, don't look around the room, no chewing gum, dress in black slacks, not too tight to where it doesn't look professional.
