If there is no creator, no one true God. Than why can't we create something using anything other than what already exists?

We have created many things here on earth, but all of the things we create are created by a force or material, or living cells that God has already created.

And to all scientists, I have read your books and theories. All of them formulated by man and nothing explained enough to satisfy anyone, which is why we still debate.

What has been explained to you in the Bible is beyond comprehension, and so you feel the need to explain Heavenly things with man's earthly mind.

Only on Judgement Day will you see for sure, and by then it will be too late........

As I have said in recent answers of mine. I do not feel I am special than any other. I do not know why Christ chose to save me. I only rejoice that he has and want to hear what some of you think so that I may pray that Christ will also save you.

God is quick to forgive any sin, when we ask...

Your argument is purely an emotional one with no logical merit.

Suppose I grant for the sake of argument that there must have been a supernatural creator that created the universe about 15 billion years ago with the Big Bang. That would be consistent with your view that there must be a Creator, and my view that the Big Bang happened.

But nothing proves that the Creator who started the Big Bang has anything at all to do with the god Jehovah described in the Bible. The Bible can be pure mythology, created by fearful desert nomads from the Iron Age, and every claim about Heaven and Hell be entirely false, without disproving that there was a supernatural creator who caused the Big Bang.

So you see, your argument that because the universe exists the Bible must be true is a total non sequitur.

I think there is a great deal of evidence to show that the Bible is in fact myth. I also think there is a great deal of evidence that people like you are delusional, and your yearning for Judgement Day is a mental disease that is endangering humanity. I hope you and your delusional brothers wake up before you cause the 'holy' war that ends life as we know it on Earth.

These kinds of statements do not impress atheists. I'm afraid they don't really impress me either, and I'm theistic. This isn't to be mean. It isn't that there are that many atheistic arguments on Yahoo Answers that are much better. Most people end up going into bloviated rants. This is an awful forum to discuss these kinds of things, I know.

But, just so you understand what you're up against, let me try to summarize the common atheistic arguments against what you're saying. I'm playing the devil's advocate here.

As for your question, there really is no logical connection between your first query (if there is no creator) and your second one (why can't we make something out of nothing). The atheist would reply that we can't because it is impossible to make something from nothing, and that there was never a time in which there was "nothing". This conclusion is due in part to the prevailing phenominalistic psychology--a result of the abandonment of the study of the essence of objects and concepts.

The atheist makes no distinction between the concept of an ultimate efficient cause of matter, and the need for an ultimate efficient cause for God. In fact, the deny the necessity of either. Arguing this point is far too complicated to do here, and it requires something of an education in scholastic philosophy, which very few people have anymore. The starting point, of course, would be Aquinas' five proofs, but these must be developed to answer the atheistic challenges to them. Nevertheless, I recommend starting here. A link to these arguments may be found here: http://www.newadvent.org/summa/1002.htm.

Well, thanks for establishing that. What is said in the bible not only is beyond comprehension, half of it simply doesn't work! People try to explain the bible to give some sort of credibility. You know who formulated the bible? You guessed it; it was man. As a previous poster said, Who made God? Everyone says that the earth, stars, universe, everything had to come from somewhere, and that creating engine was god. Are implying that he was already there and didn't come from anywhere?

"Than [then] why can't we create something using anything other than what already exists?"

I'm not sure what your point is on this one. It is because matter cannot be created nor destroyed. We are not perfect animals, by any means, and we don't know everything. However, we have facts to work with, and theories explain these facts. Why do you believe there is a God, because you have no other way of explaining things? In that case, you are saying that as science progresses your God becomes less significant.

If something cannot be created out of nothing then who or what created god? What "materials" were used to create god? Why do you feel the need to use threats?

"and by then it will be too late."

Do you really think fear is going to help you recruit people? If your religion and god is so wonderful then why do you feel the need to stick your nose in everyones business? If you really think you have all the answers then be happy with it. Be content, you are saved and the rest of us are just worthless, is that what you want to hear? Please keep your beliefs to yourself, I do not need you to save me and I don't need your god. Thank you.

To all Theists who believe in Ghosties and InvisibleSkyPixies - who made the Cause of all Causes?

Of course, you're gonna claim that YOUR version of the Cause of all Causes is outside SpaceTimeLogicReason.

You're willing to believe in THAT bit of incredulity without any EVIDENCE.
Wow. LOL.
Sorry sonny, I'm not that easily bought or scammed.

"And to all scientists, I have read your books and theories. All of them formulated by man and nothing explained enough to satisfy anyone, which is why we still debate."
What a load of crap.
I'll bet you haven't even read your Goat Herders' Guide to the Galaxy - believe me - it's the BEST thing ever invented to support DISbelief in TheInvisibleMan syndrome.

As I have said countless times: There is good money to be made from religion IF you can keep a straight face.

Do you know that jumping up on your soapbox is illegal on Y!A? You could get reported....Let me get this straight, you want me to create something just by thinking it into existence right? That makes about as much sense as a medieval book dictating how someone should live their life (and spend their money). Just so you know I'm not against Christ, just people like you who spew their religion like they're trying to save someone when all they want is recognition, someone to say they've been a good little Christian.
