My gut feeling tells me these people wave the Mexican flag because they are Mexican and not American. Logic tells me they plan on staying Mexican and not becoming American. Illegal immigrants (mostly Hispanic/Latino), want to make America has Hispanic/Latino as possible. For the most part, I do not see them becoming a part of American society. I see them molding the American society into their vision of a Hispanic/Latino America. These people want U.S. citizenship for the right to hold the title of being American for their own personal benefit and not for the greater good of becoming a true American for the sake of America. Give these people citizenship and they will be laughing all the way to your piggy bank while simultaneously turning this country into the 3rd world nations these people come from. 3rd world mentalities breed 3rd world nations. Anybody, from anywhere, who wants to be American, shouldn't be waving a flag from any other country......Clearly, those who do, have shown their real colors and they aren't red, white, and blue. Moving forward, I can only assume that if these people start waving the American flag, they are assuming I must be a moron and would actually believe they wish to be loyal Americans. Comprende La Raza? Este Gringo es no estupido!

While I agree that waving Mexican flag while protesting for rights in America does not sound all that appropriate to me, I prefer to think it more of a show of heritage rather than a show of Mexicans taking over America. America is built by immigrants after all.
What really makes America unique is not its democracy and its economic prowess (which has been whining as of late), it is really the multi-cultural faces that Americans represent. The more people can embrace that spirit, the better off America will become.

You can take the Mexican out of the country but you can't take Mexico out of the Mexican. That's wants scares me about legalizing the illegals especially those from Mexico.
Most, not all are here for the cash, not the real emotional ties that makes us one people. There is a difference between waving a flag on say St. Patrick's Day Parade, remembering where you came from, and waving a flag from a foreign country when you are demanding rights after you broke the laws of our country, especially when the very country's flag you are waving denies you the very rights you are demanding from the USA.

greasy - 12 million illegals, what approximately the different 20-25 million. Immigrants have rights, illegals could have been rounded up by using ICE, they have not got any outstanding to protest, to loose speech or something in this u . s .. Do they not understand by using now that each and every time they do those rallies, they simply turn extra individuals against them. save up the reliable artwork.

Alot of protesters bring the Mexico flag NOT because we want to take over but because we want to show that Hispanics have a voice too. I was in a rally and yes we did bring a Mexican flag but we had NO intention of making everyone believe we wanted to take over.

Speaking of the Irish, I remember a story about the 1934 Olympics held in Berlin. The story goes that a naturalized Irish immigrant was holding the U.S. flag for the U.S. team, he refuse to lower the U.S flag as he passed Hitler, stating HIS country's flag bows to no one.
If an Irish flag is flown on ST.Patrick's day, so what.
Cinco de mayo is a holiday invented by Budweiser.

we're the only country in the world where people come over here and expect to be catered to. waving their countries flag but demanding to be u.s. citizens is very hypocritical but we've become a country where the minority, not majority, rules, so it's accepted.

Illegal citizens regardless where they are, they are still proud of their heritage. Even people who are not illegal, they are proud of their heritage and ancestors. Legals also have their own parades and they wave their flags too. That should not bother any person unless they are just picking on immigrants.

really, illegals wave the "Mexican Flag?"
NEW FLASH, all illegals are not from MEXICO, and there were lots of different flags being waved in their rallies and marches, not to mention lots of the flags were American flags.
Goes to show people ignorantly choose to talk about what they choose to see.
