If the product you're upgrading from is not valid, then the upgrade will not work.

Buy XP, do not buy Vista until SP2 comes out in a year or two.

Ok, yes buy XP Pro SP2, full version, reformat and make it 100% legal, than go to Windows Vista ultimate upgrade. Or better yet, just buy the full version of Vista and be done with it. Forget these bums that says vista sux 9 out of 10 times they haven't even used it. I cant wait until I upgrade to ultimate in a few months.

First off....

You need to BUY XP in order to UPGRADE to Vista.
Or you will continue to get the non - genuine error.

Also, Vista, does not have the WGA anymore....
Is has something else.

SO, if I was you... I would go BUY me a copy of XP Pro With SP2 and be done with it...

Get on witcha bad self.. LOL
