Because we may be related and I have some further questions.
"The inner experience with the multidimensional God can come in two main areas. One is through the realization that this prime moving force is within everything you can perceive with your senses. The other method is to realize that this primary motive force has a reality independent of its connection with the world of appearances. All personal contact with the multidimensional God, all legitimate moments of mystic consciousness will always have a unifying effect. They will not, therefore, isolate the individual involved, but instead will enlarge his perceptions until he will experience the reality and uniqueness of as many other aspects of reality of which he is capable. He will feel, therefore, less isolated and less set apart. He will not regard himself as being above others because of the experience. On the contrary he will be swept along in a gestalt of comprehension in which he realizes his own oneness wth All That Is."

Hey Sunman,
I had what I call my 'Unity Experience" sitting in my back yard full of 'justified anger' toward a sex offender who lived next door, when suddenly the fabric of infinity I existed in was all visible as spinning atoms, the sky, the clouds, the house, my hand, the 'empty' space in front of me, all made of the same Universe stuff! From the unmanifest to the manifest, nothing was left out of this 'light' blanket, this 'quilt' of particles and the astounding, unimaginable sense of Equality with All That Is that I felt transformed me, expanded my thinking, instantly. I stopped my harmful intentions toward other personalities.
Peace is my business..........

Mystic: Something beyond thought (something undivided, whole, unknown),  something beyond mental expression, closed, bound together, inseparable. Something you can't explain in thought, is something unknown. If it is unknown, it doesn't exist, which means its mystic. Language has these paradoxes. Mystic is a word describing something which language can't describe. You can't go searching for a mystical experience, and how would you know if you had one? If you think you've had one, you haven't. The moment you know it, it is no longer mystic. The only way you can know something is by comparison and contrast with things in memory. Memory is an inscription of the past, like a photo is the inscription of a holiday experience. The memory is not the experience, but the record of it. Thus when you compare/contrast a moving reality with memory, it becomes something dead (known), thus it is no longer mystic. You cannot be one: there can be oneness, but if there is, there is no you to recognize that stateless position-less non-being. A person Z may say: "Mr X had a mystic experience", when person Z saw Mr X acting strangely, and cannot account for the behavior. However: person Z has classified it as "strange", so it now is not mystic. Thought wants to know the cause of an unknown feeling or sensation. So thought makes up all kinds of imaginary reasons: puts it down to the divine etc. Thus the mystic nature dissolves the moment thought intervenes.

Ahhh, but isn't isolation but a form of one-ness (...solitude...)? *wink* (I know, I know... I'm being a little sh*t again! =P)

But to answer your question... Yes, I have experienced my fair share of experiences that come close to this description, but I am always still learning from every new experience.

I have felt both an isolation effect AND a unifying effect, though. BUT, I know that my 'small mind' had a big part in the reason why I have felt both. The mind certainly is a powerful source of creation... and If unchecked, it can create a plethora of varied experiences.

Oh, but I must say, the weirdest aspect of reality of which I was capable of perceiving was one of a chameleon. It was weird disappearing into the background of realty, yet still watching it as if I was still right there within it.

Thanks for the thought provoking question Sunman!

Indeed.

swept along in a gestalt of comprehension......
"returning" from many such experiences, feeling bewildered and offset with the impression of separation, when just so deeply in the soup of the All, the unity, the bliss, the embrace of the Divine...

in this, all is known. All is sense, All is simple and simply enveloped.
All is beauty, sacred, revered and seen.

In my experience, the mystic longs to draw the whole of the world into the the heart of God, the deep warm embrace of the Divine.

To dance, to delight, to spontaneous combust together in sheer ecstasy of heart over flowing beauty.

I like chameleon's answer. I too have felt that "disappearing into the background of realty, yet still watching it as if I was still right there within it". Another here has mentioned 'the stream' to me. The feeling of the Universe flowing through us. Very curious.

Most of the time however it's just a feeling of comfort. The feeling that I am where I should be and here's where I 'fit'. Connected, but still 'me' if that makes any sense at all.

I had a serenity about me from day one; at about age four, something happened that took my serenity away...in the 1970s, I began to feel a strong pull toward psychics, and each one looked at me as if they had been hit with a shot of electricity...I saw each psychic at different times, over a lengthy period, and they all said the same thing; that I have a destiny to lead in spiritual terms.

I said all that so I can say this: it is not enough to have a philosophy, or a body of knowledge if it just sits there, like a toy that "waits" for the child to come play. Ours is to heal the world.

Yes, this quote applies to me, and to every living thing. It is true that all is one...so the question that finally came to me was, "What do I do with it?" Then I found my most influential teacher, and he was even more adamant that I get on with the show, as he put it.

Fun is a good thing, but our united goal is to go back home, awaken from this dream of bulky objects, taking huge blocks of time just to get from one "place" to the other, when in truth we have but to think it, and we are "there" in an instant. In truth, we never left home, nor could we, but our thinking is so limited...

If each of us builds the barrier that we perceive between ourself and the rest of the Universe, then allowing that boundary to dissolve will lead to what you call a mystical experience.

Such an experience is beyond personal comprehension and therefore it is not able to be communicated in words. The feeling of "being swept away" is often an emotional component of such an experience.

Divinity is beyond the ability of the human mind to comprehend. Any person having a true mystical experience will only get a glimpse into that which they perceive is "beyond themself".

i sort of agree with what you said because yes, there are some ways to come in experience with god.......but there are more than two. And many others do feel they can be put above others as if their very being has more meaning than the meaning of someone who has accomplished more than them. Many people believe in GOD, but they don't exactly understand what they're saying when they say "Believe"...they don't realize how hipocritical they're being by going against their beliefs only because they're claiming things they don't understand.......So i agree with most of what you said except for some areas here and there where my opinion seemed to on a different level than yours....is this a poll?

I’ll cut to the chase. The thing called Karma by Christians is the principle Christ taught, “As you sew so shall ye reap.” This works because each of us is part of everyone else. If I harm you I harm myself. This is why you should love others as you love yourself; they are yourself in a different state. This is how Jesus saw James under the tree. If tuned in correctly you can remember being…everyone.

Concerning ego and spiritual pride. There’s nothing to feel superior about since I am what you are. I meet people all the time that teach me, wise teachers like Passerby the herd of Cosmics and others here. I’ve been taught by abusive bosses and children and …
You get the idea. Be kind to me, I’m just a part of you that’s still growing.

For me, this is the dance. Between the aspects of an individual, that suddenly find themselves a piece of the One. Life really does give us the opportunity to experience both. Beyond words and straight into the what is seen right before your very eyes.

I simply do not struggle with either awareness. Right now, I am simply an aspect of Oneness that is using my individual experience to add to the tapestry.

TAGGED by the Cosmic Task Force for spreading
((((((((((((the dance))))))))))))))

Let me say this. I am so very full of gratitude for this aspect of life that we have. That both come together to form our unique existance.

This seems to be describing the experience of a raised kundalini, where you realize you are part of a consciousness so vast that words fail at describing it. With the awareness of this unlimited ocean of consciousness comes a sense of micro- and macrocosmic understanding, individuality and total unity -- Oneness. Unity. Journey's end.

The experience is simply too vast and too personal for me to describe well. The above is the best I can do at this time.
