Honestly, I would tell the boyfriend that he isn't allowed to meet with her until he proves himself to be someone that can be trusted around your daughter. If he doesn't know that you have a daughter I would break it too him. If he is a wuss he will quickly bow out and if he is any sort of man he'll stay but he needs to get the impression that if anything happens to your daughter that he will be lucky if at minimum he only has to register as a sex offender and still be breathing.
When you think that he might serve as a suitable father--then introduce them. I'd make all decisions based on what is best for your girl. Good luck dear.

Do you think this guy is going to be around long? I would suggest not having a boyfriend meet a child until you know he's someone who will be around and involved with her. It's so disruptive to have people come and go out of a child's life.

How new is new? Is this guy going to molest her? Would you bring him home to meet your mother? Do you trust him not to go through your purse?
If you can't answer any of those questions positively, then he's not the guy. I've been a single parent for 12 years and she has no idea if I'm dating or not. Unless this guy tells you he wants to marry you and adopt your child as his own, I'd say leave it be until that one comes around. You don't want him calling every man you bring around 'Daddy.' It'll confuse the s**t outta her.

Unless you are very serious, i wouldnt suggest doingi t for a while until you feel comfortable enough with it. I dont like to bring men around my kids ( i have 5 yr old and a 7 yr old) cause Im afraid of them getting confused, but just address him has his name when you introduce them. You should wait until he asks to meet her, that will show you if he is really into you or not.

She might begin to think that is either her dad or her new dad.
make sure when you do it you dont call him boyfriend and you call him my his name.
