my bf just broke up wit me last week. now he asked me "since were like broken up, do you like someone else?"...he knows i still like him..but why does he care if i like sumone else??..

You do not have to answer that question. An important lesson in life is knowing when you do NOT have to answer a question.
Develop a response such as: "Why do you ask?" You don't owe him any explanation about your life after him. Take the time you need to finish getting over him. Don't let him confuse you.

The only 2 explanations is either he likes someone else and is testing the waters to see if you are into someone else as well or the more likely one that he is regretting breaking up with you and wants to see if you are into someone else. In the second case I would recommend saying yes regardless of whether you do or not to make him jealous and then eventually he will start trying to get you back, that is if you want him back after he dumped you.

well maybe he heard you like someone else and that is why he broke up with you so what? you have a life and can find someone else sometimes playing the field is best that way you can date WHO you want to and meet lots of different people and ways

even though sometimes we part ways we can't help but have left over feelings. you can't help the way you feel but you can help the way you act on those feelings and he is wrong for asking you that. It's not a fair question because it rehashes the hurt from the break up. I would tell him (if I were you) to stop trying to make you feel crappy.

hes trying to see if you like him and if you say yes hes gonna try and get with you and try and get with another girl....thats because if you just say you like him after he broke up with you he knows he has you wrapped around his finger
move on or have him keep chasing you until you feel he has changed

could be also that he still likes you or just keeping tabs on you.
