just bought a new samsung 32" lcd, everthing is fine when I'm watching regular television but on certain video games , I get a line of what seems to be static that goes from the bottom of the screen and then disappears about half way up. Now this does'nt happen on all games but is intermittent on others, no way to tell when it's going to happen, just does. I thought it might be my cables but the 360 works fine on my parents 61" samsung. If you have any idea what this could be or have experienced something similar, please help.

Ok, I know this is going to sound crazy but LCD TVs are very sensitive to the power they receive. Do you have a good quality surge protector with a power filter? We have had the same problems with some of our TVs at various electronic shows because of the line has interference in the current itself. We use Monster Clean power stage II power strips and it completely eliminated the problem. This may or may not work it's just a thought.

You are describing a common type of TVI that may not even be coming from your house. However, since you don't get it at your parents, it is not in their area. When you are not using your 360 your TV is clean, but when you hook up the game you get the problem may be a case of the WAY you are hooking up the game that a cable problem may be acting as an antenna to the INTERMITTENT TVI. Intermittent as in that is why it doesn't happen on all games etc. Could be an RF leak from a Neon sign in your area ( only happens at night? ) or most any cause. Try running your 360 direct to the TV F connector, don't use any kind of splitter or what ever. Power line filter ON THE GAME (TV ok with out game) may do the trick. Many of the strip power blocks have GMOV filters in them so plugging your game in to one of them may stop the problem.

If the line is moving, it might be interference, which has to do with other devices in your setup that aren't there with the 61". You could try a cable that has more sheilding and see if the issue goes away. If you're hooked up component, try using HDMI or a different component input because the current input on the TV may be an issue as well.
