It is very difficult to remove yourself from stress, when your life is swimming in it thru no fault of your own. It is equally impossible to just accept the chaos that you feel all the time is surrounding you.You do need to get on an anti-anxiety medication and try to exercise to try to get rid of some of the stress, I can tell you from experience that nothing helps like medication, especially if your life circumstances are such that you can do nothing to change them. much luck!

I also have chronic anxiety and high blood pressure have you tried talking to someone? You might need some medication to help relieve the stress but until that happens if you can't think of anything to help you distress than I would suggest that you go to either the library or a book store and get a book on relaxation techniques When I'm really stressed out I take a bath and I find a good book and a cup of tea that helps relax me but if you can't find something to help relax yourself than find a book or go on the net and get some ideas. You might think of talking up yoga.

A good way of relaxing is to do deep relaxation. You can be taught how to do this by any reputable hypnotherapist. It basically involves lying or sitting in a comfortable postion, closing your eyes, taking a deep breath and feeling every part of your body relax. Whilst you are relaxed, you can take yourself on a journey, to a place where all is calm, it can be a lake or a forest or simply beneath a shady tree. You can enjoy the visualisation and tell yourself that as you return, you will feel relaxed and refreshed and calm. Or you can do another method where you get to the relaxed point and make positive affirmations to help with whatever you want to deal with, and end it by being calm and relaxed as you count to three and open your eyes. It sounds easy but it takes a lot of concentration to clear your mind and focus only on relaxing and visualising, but once you get in practice it can be done - as long as you have nothing to distract you, or you will come out of it with a jolt - not the desired effect you want!! So make sure the house is quiet and you have time set aside for this. The best way to begin so you get off to a good start is to see a hypnotherapist and have maybe three sessions to get you statred some hypnotherapists can tailor make this ideal session for you that suits your needs and record it so you can play a tape the first few times to help you get relaxed and talk you through each step. Once you've learned it, you will always know how to do it - and its something worth trying!

1. Remove yourself from the stress you are experiencing.
2. If that is not possible, ask your doctor for a referral to a psychiatrist.
3. Ask your primary doctor or a psychiatrist about Beta-Blockers. They lower your blood pressure and reduce anxiety. Also, ask about anti-anxiety drugs like benzodiazepines (Valium, Klonopin, Ativan).

By accepting your life as it is, at any given moment.
Stress is a result of resistance, so say yes to what is, rather than saying no.
