if you don't wanna go to a psychologist, then maybe you can try playin with big spider stuff toys that look really funny, slowly going to more realistic ones and eventually the real one. That way you could inch your way into believing that spiders aren't that scary at all. Face your fears to conquer them.

My best friend was putting her kids clothes in the dresser drawer and she felt like someone was watching her. She looked up and there was a spider the size of a laptop computer watching her. She ran outside and got a 2 x 4 and clubbed it to death. There were guts all over the bedroom. She moved out the next day.
Now she has a terrible phobia about spiders. She cries when she sees one and screams and jumps up and down. I don't know what I can do to help her or you. It is a difficult phobia to overcome. Good Luck!

You may want to try and see and psychologist. Behavioral therapy is very helpful. I saw a program on television about a girl with a spider phobia. She was slowly desensitized to spiders, while undergoing therepy(talking through it).
I remember she watched Arachnophobia( a certain scene). At first she couldn't even view it, but over the session(they kept playing it over and over) she was able to watch it. She then sat in a room with a spider in a container, she slowly got closer and closer until she was touching the box. They she touched the spider and eventually could hold one.
This can probably be done on your own, but having a trained professional to talk you through your fears, and give you tools to cope with them is a big help.

i used to be like that. a dead one fell on my hand once and i nearly died from fright. a year ago, i became a vegetarian and i made a promise to myself not to have ppl kill any more spiders for me (or even kill them myself) because even though they still scare me to death and really creep me out. i realized that they are just creatures trying to survive. they dont mean to harm you , they are just trying to live. they are no different from a dog or a bird or beetle. it took me a lot of convincing to get over my fear(kinda). really what it takes is you to change your thinking. its scientifically proven that we learn fear, and just as we learned fear, we can unlearn it too.
