God is powerful and could do everything that he like but he can not lie In shortr for you to understand very well God do not like to lie as He is perfect living God .Do not show your ignorance on the teachings of God in the bible. You look like intelligent minded person but it seems you are not using your intelligence on the right place.

If you understood what holy means you wouldn't question the answer.
God is perfectly holy and therefore does not lie.
The person above does not understand the Bible. Eve became mortal and then did die due to her mortality. It is amazing how little people know about the scriptures; yet, they still quote it.

You are a "Top Contributor".
I know you've seen the rebuttal to this. Atheists try to do this, but you know it's an impossibility and a contradiction.
That's like saying that someone who is so smart that they could pass any test means that they could pass a test to make them legally retarded.

Well, if God can do 'anything', then to be God he would be able to both exist and not exist, which is preposterous.
God can and will do everything in his nature, but this doesn't extend to the realm of the absurd. Those are non-things.

The quote is meant to illustrate that God is not a man. That's what the quote says. God is not a man, that he could lie.
This is WHY he cannot lie, because he is not a man.
Of course Christians ignore this because they worship a man who they turned into a god. yet is still a man.

That means he's so holy and just that he just can't tell a lie. If he were evil he could but his top quality is love so that prevents him from lieing.

God told Eve she would die the day she ate the fruit. She didn't die that day. Of course Christians would like to say that the Bible isn't literal...but, of course, they aren't real Christians.

There are a lot of things can't do. He can't do anything against his nature. He can't violate the laws of noncontradiction.
