Let me say this don't you ever let ANYONE talk down to you or make you feel less of a person then they are. I am thrilled that you broke up with him. You saw that it could get a little scary and your warning lights went on. You listened to yourself; that inner voice that always is talking... you are very wise. You will find that person... but don't settle for the abuse of any kind. Be true to yourself. Like my Grandma would say and she is right; you will win if you just are patient. And that holds true to every part of life.

You were right in leaving him, if after 3 weeks he treated you like that imagine if you stuck it out and went on for longer. His anger and verbal abuse could turn in physical abuse. The verbal threats he gave to you are a form of abuse and verbal abuse can be worse on a person than physical abuse. You are very lucky oyu got out of that situation before it esculated into something bad. As for everyone else, they don't know what they are talking aobut. Just worry about yourself, they are not friends to be mad at you for breaking up with someone, they just want to gossip and hurt you more. Be the bigger person.

No absolutly not. I think you did the right thing about leaving him. My only concern for you is that, you said he was not able to control his anger, just be careful in what you are doing, and try not getting close to him if he is violent, because i have dumped a guy like that before and i sort of got into major trouble with him.

Yes hun! Stick to your values. He is totally wrong to call you names and pull you by the arm, You don't need anyone like that, you need to be your own person. Plus anger is bad and he sounds very controling. Go to the party and keep your chin up, you did nothing wrong, he did! Hugs! Von

You were right in leaving him. As for everyone else, tell them the truth about how you were mistreated. If they don't believe you, then they aren't really your friends or worth your time. So why would you want them at your party?

You are absolutely right, i couldn't agree more, trust me do not let your bf or anyone treat you like this under no circumstances, people like that end up beating up their spouses or gfs later on in life...
