If you have reason to think that it isn't, then be very careful. If you know the name of the bank that it's supposed to be, look up the number yourself rather than calling a number somebody gave you - if you call this number and they answer "xxxxxx bank" you haven't learned anything, since you don't know that they really are - if they're running a scam, they can answer the phone with whatever they want to.

I looked on three different area code lookup sites, and none of them show 793, which sounds more than strange if it's really a US bank. Be very careful.

793 is not a valid area code under the North American Numbering Plan. In fact, no area code has the number "9" as the second digit according to the current numbering system.
