Organize a car wash down at the local church house parking lot. Have girl scouts in bathing suits washing the cars.

You can do just about any idea you want to raise money. Keep it with in the Boy Scout Guideline and you will not have any problems. Their is always the idea of getting your troop members to donate items to sell at a yard sale. You Could hold a bake sale, Ice Cream Social, ask the sponsoring facility if they could provide a percentage of the cost toward your Eagle Scout Project, setup at table at you local church that explains what the project is and what it entails asking for donation.

Keep up the good work and keep your head up. I know that this is not an easy project for a Life Scout to complete but it will be worth it in the end. Trust me!!

Best of luck with your project. Five large is a lot of currency; what are you building? Can you contact retailers in your area and ask for donations of materials, rather than buying the items? Many businesses donate to the Scouts, and use the donation as a tax write-off and for good public relations. Remember that the fund-raiser cannot be the focus of your project, and that you should have all fund-raising plans approved by your council PRIOR to the event.

If you have a local Pizza Hut they do fund raisers where they give you 15% of the sales of what ever your event brings in. So, you can get a bunch of people together and host an "Eagle Project" party and whatever they buy your org gets 15% of.
Then there are the traditional ways of bake sales
Candy sales
Magazine sales
Car Washes
Reverse Raffles(you can have this at teh car wash or at a refreshment stand and do two things at a time to raise $)
I really think that is the key to raising money is to have several things going at once.
