True but the Bible is VERY specific that the charging of interest (Banking) is evil. the one and only time Jesus lost his cool- was not at Judas or Herod or the Romans - he forgave them! it was MONEYLENDERS.
I cannot understand why Christians (some anyway) go on and on about gays and other petty issues when there are MANY more passages in the Bible that denounce the sin or usury and financial and material greed! Such hypocracy.....

You are right; the LOVE of money is the root of all evil. Money is just a tool; it makes a great servant, but a terrible master.

I completely agree. Money in the right hands can do great things–provide things for poor people, build libraries, etc. However, I feel like most of the people who have a lot of money just want more and more and don't care how they get it.

That could be applied to many things. I think what is meant by that is 'The greed for money'. Seems to make more sense to me. Also, it should read it causes more 'harm'. Evil is a religious word.

Actually it says, "the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil." 1Tim 6:10
It is "a" root, not "the" root. There are many roots of evil. The love of money is one of them.

The wealth of the world lies in the hands of 1% of the world population. Now is that evil or what?

Weird that they put "In God We Trust" on something that may lead to Evil isn't it? I mean...we all know that most churches want more money (for whatever reason) which leads to eventual corruption (which is or already has happened.)
