Unlike most of you pessimists, carpenters, or w/e you are my house is built on the solid rock of Jesus Christ. Listen to Kriten. Don't let these people's stupidity get you down. As Sarah_h2os said : has anyone heard of a metaphor? And also another good one: as Anjel said: sadly enough all of these people who are built on sand will end with sinking in the sand. Unlike Chuffedinitx, who is already sinking. Pray for those who have no faith. Pray for those who don't know what a metaphor is.

I have faith in both God and my fellow man. Both are needed for right living in this world, although they are two different types of faiths. You cannot just throw out humankind and say you have no faith in them.

If we do not have faith in our fellow man, that there is goodness there, and kindness, and caring about our fellow mankind, we will make a horrible mess of the world, with no man trusting another, all men looking down at each other, and so much crime and horrible things will result.

You need to be able to differentiate between the type of faith you have in God, and the type of faith you should have in your fellow mankind, so that this world becomes a better place to live and raise our children. Both types of faith are needed.

House built on a rock.

p.s. Anyone heard of a metaphor? Basically all of you are at least 13, by that time, some of the things taught in English class should have sunk in.

Built on THE Rock, mi amigo! Built on THE Rock.

Like the song says...I'd rather have a shack on the rock, than a castle in the sand!

You know most won't know until the storm comes in!

I feel so sorry that some of your answers are given as jokes and with malice. It's sad to know that so many will be sinking in their own sand in the end. :(

Since Moses stole Yahweh the Storm God from the Kenites--every religion based around the God of Abraham is built on shaky ground---which may explain why the Abrahamic religions are soaked with blood throughout history.

What if the rock as rounded and in an earth quake zone?

Btw... On the ground, with a well constructed foundation and built to code for weather catastrophes.

Any engineer, architect or carpenter would tell you that a rock is not the best place to build a house. Mine is built on solid ground.

God is going to do just fine without my fawning attention. I do not mean that disrespectfully, but I honestly think that God would prefer that I pay attention to the living in this world. If you need a persuasive Biblical citation, try the following: "As you've done it unto the least of these my brethren, you've done it unto me." (Matt. 25:40)

I am a Christian who stands firmly upon the "Rock of my salvation", Jesus Christ!

I guess that would make me a house on a rock!
