Well, as a Christian I look back to Genesis and how God created man and woman, and he said " The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." (Genesis 2:18) He made a companion ' a woman for the man' ... Then I think of ways to explain a situation like this to a child with opposites and how they were created, and then the things they will learn in school will also explain to them how they need a Mommy ad Poppy not a Mommy and Mommy or Poppy and Poppy. For such situations the child grows to be very confused and distorted and morally twisted.
God loves us and He wants us to live to Honor His ways because He knows what is right for us, He will not mislead us. Listen to His voice...
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

God created them male and female. Man should leave his father and mother and be committed to his wife. These statements are found in the Bible.
Homosexuality goes against God's design. The male-female combination reveals two parts of God's image (Let us make man in Our own image). God is neither male nor female, but He is referred to as Elohim, which has a literal translation of 'breasted one', showing the mother-heart (nurture, care, etc.) of God. Yet, He is also referred to as 'Father', not so much a gender title, but meaning provider and protector.
Just based on physiology alone, the male-female combo is made a perfect design. This is from how each gender's brain works, to the physical compatibility (yes, sex). What each one has, the other does not, so the two together do become one.
Looking back at the fourth answer here, this is someone's reinterpretation of scripture in order to justify what is clearly sin in the Bible - even according to scholars who know the old languages.
This is the best, quick explanation I have.

I think most Christians read the story of Sodom and Gomorrah and get out of it that homosexuality and acting upon homosexuality is a sin. However, the story actually discusses homosexual RAPE. I think Christians just have a hard time wrapping their head around something that "isn't natural" and it "isn't natural" because homosexual intercourse can't make babies. I don't think it is a sin. I believe God loves all his children. I believe God is happy with all of his followers regardless of their sexuality. Do I think he is in heaven saying, "Yay! Homosexuality is the best! Woohoo! Be gay!" No, I don't. But hell, if straight people are allowed to marry 20 times then I say let the homosexuals get married. Who gives a rat's ***? It's their "sin," not yours.

In the story of creation, God made man and woman to become one. It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve. Believing God as the creator, he knew what he was doing. I believe each body part had its function, and completed a certain task. If a person were to use their mouth for eating and drinking that is the way it was intended to be used. We don't put food and drinks through our ears or nose, because that is not what they were made for. However some people use their body parts in perversion, and mocks how our God made us (and in a way become their own god). So why are their homosexuals: look into whether a gay person gets along with their father, or if a lesbian gets along with their mother. This was a study done by Dr James Dobson, it may not be they were created that way but because of the environment they grew up in.

It is natural to have sex with someone of the opposite sex. That is how we procreate. Mankind was told to go forth & multiply. How can that happen with homosecuals? Adoption doesn't count. They cannot multiply. And Leviticus 18:22) "'You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination."' Leviticus 20:13) "'If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."' Romans 1:26) For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. 27) Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, & receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due. First Corinthians 6:9) Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, 10) nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kindgom of God. Isaiah 3:9) The look on their countenance witnesses agaisnt them, & they declare their sin as Sodom; they do not hide it, woe to their soul! For they have brought evil upon themselves. Lamentations 4:6) The punishment of theiniquity of the daughter of my people is greater than the punishment of the sin of Sodom, which was overthrown in a moment, with no hand to help her! And as far as a man & woman not having children, there are many people who can't from natural causes. There are also some people who realize they would make poor parents. That doesn't mean that homosexuality is okay.

This question has been answered so many times on Y!A, and Phoenix Wright, patrone07, Miss Cyran, blueruble, strike a pose<3, sarah_h2os (God allows men-men to be in friendly relationships, and women likewise, and to love each other like the good samaritan did, but not sexually active - that is a gift for only man and woman to have within marriage), benja the ninja, D H, deacon, Ihalmiut, gaillee01, Lojique, wanzanna... have given you the answer.
If you don't belive God's word in the Bible, just think for a moment on your question - isn't it wrong?
Yes it is wrong and may God forgive those who distort scripture to claim it is right; they not only are blind, but cause others to stumble as well due to their fallacious statements and flawed interpretation of the Bible!

I am Christian and I go to A Catholic school (not catholic) what i see is its wrong because u cant bring a child into this world without invetro or "un-natrual" methods of conceiving....based on this then i believe that the Catholic church looks down on adoption too then....if the mother of that child wasnt in a position to raise a child properly then she made the right choice in putting the baby up for adoption....so the Catholic church says that u should only have children if they are conceived between a man and a wife so if u adopt u either go to "hell" in the churchs mind or the mother, the mother that gave u that child goes to "hell"
so i dont believe homosexuality is wrong i believe that they cant change who they are....God made them that way and people shun them or try to change them when God made them that way and loves them just the same...He wouldnt want u to shun them he would want u to accept them, like God wanted
i dont care if i get 1,000 thumbs down...thats what i think...
HOMOSEXUALITY ISNT WRONG AND GAY COUPLES SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO MARRY AND HAVE CHILDREN IN EVERY STATE!!!!!!

#1 It is a un-healthy lifestyle
#2 The Bible says to be fruitful and multiply, clearly homosexuals cannot do this.
#3 God recognizes a marriage between a man and a woman, not a woman and woman, or man and man.
#4 Talk to Doctors about man homosexual sex. It is very dangerous.
#5 And the Bible does condemn it.

You know, years before I ever even knew that homosexuality was, according to the bible, a definite sin, there was just something very disturbing and obviously against nature about seeing that kind of thing. Even without knowing that the bible says it's an abomination, I simply cannot pretend to believe or accept that it is somehow "normal" behavior. Then, when you consider that the atheist crowd just glorifies it (no surprise there) along with evolution, one has to seriously ponder how it's possible that society got so absolutely stupid with all this "tolerance" and "acceptance" of chosen lifestyles that is so obviously perverted and corrupt. I know people from the early 90's who tried that tolerance and acceptance line for a while. But they soon came to the same conclusion that I and alot of others did as well; it is just simply nauseating that someone would allow themselves to try and be something it is so obvious they were not meant to be.
I'm not for committing acts of violence against them or anyone for that matter. But if they keep trying to force their lifestyle on the rest of those in society who want nothing to do with them, they're tempting fate in a way that will not be to their favor. They want all the "religious" people to keep their beliefs to themselves. OK. Fine. Keep your chosen lifestyle to yourself, and quit trying to convince the rest of us that you're somehow normal and acceptable. Standards of decency and morality still exist regardless how hard that crowd tries to redefine common words and phrases.

Most Christian churches do not consider homosexuality, in the modern sense of the word, to be wrong. However, most do consider some or all homosexual practices wrong. As to what the Bible says, I have posted a link.
