A friend of mine told me that if you're going through something hard that you can call on God and He will help. Even if it doesn't seem like it at the time. But if it doesn't feel like He's helping, and it doesn't feel any different, then how is that helping anything?

By the way, I'm talking about the Christian God. If you're going to try to tell me that He doesn't exist, I'll just tell you right now: I know for a fact that you're wrong. I've gone through things that you would never understand that prove He exists. So don't bother trying to tell me otherwise.

If you know for a fact that god exists then please share your proof with us. I think you're lying. (that's a sin)

Not to sound rude but have you not already answered your own question? You claim that you have "gone through things," that some of us "would never understand, that prove he exists." If this is the case, then have you not, as I asked before, provided the answer to you own question?

It sounds to me that perhaps you have encountered difficult times in the past in which God lended you a hand in order to HELP you through those times; however, If I am wrong, simply ignore my answer; and I apologize in advance.

If you're asking God for something that is not in His will, it will not be done, even though it seems like it sucks at the time, He knows what He's doing, and it's for the better. Also, it could be that it's not yet time for what you're asking, maybe it's just something you have to wait for.

God (which I don't refer to as a "He") is Love. It is always there for you to use if you need It.

Sometimes prayers do not feel as if they are answered - but they are. My faith is that everything is as it should be at all times. God doesn't make mistakes.

Think back to a hard part of your life. If you hadn't gone through it - would you be and have all that you do now?

Very often - (I like this analogy) we are like glass on a beach - rough on the edges. We have to tumble and tumble in order to be smooth and peaceful.

You say you are referring to the Christian God. I believe there is only ONE GOD. We may call It different things - and view It in different ways - but there is only one. One God. One Mind.

God is Love. It is always helping.

Namaste!

I know he doesn't exist. I've gone through things that prove that to me.
The only way I know to help myself is for me to do it. All the praying in the world isn't going to doing anything but delude you into thinking you're doing something helpful.

If it doesn't feel like G-d is helping, maybe you are asking for the wrong kind of help. G-d won't make your troubles go away, and HE won't give you everything you ask for. What He will do is give you Love, Encouragement, Courage, and Strength.

Let's be honest. You don't have proof that he exists. You have strong faith that he does. That's fine. Religion only demands faith.

Religion doesn't want proof because:

a.) The donation cup would dry up
b.) The proof may prove that even though God exists, it's not your religion's version of God.

This is what I use to tell my children:
"God doesn't ware a watch, and if He did it would be a Rolex.
His timing is what is perfect, not ours."
Patience is a key factor along with growth and growth takes time.

hoped this helped
